We frequently travel through Las Vegas on our way to visit family out in Albuquerque and like to stop at Charlie’s for breakfast. The last two visits have been less than exceptional, the food is a hit or miss depending if my order is heard/written down correctly. However, the cashier that we usually deal with is rude and lacks customer service. When a portion of an order was missed and the bread on a toasted sandwich was cold a long with the fries, we called to ask if we were charged for the green chili, no apologies were extended and her response was, “what do you want me to do about it?” When we asked to speak to the owner Charlie, she refused to put him on the line trying to deal with the problem herself by telling us nothing could be done multiple times. Until the owner hires better quality employees we will not be returning. For those that place an order to go, be sure to check that your food is as requested before leaving the restaurant.

Great spot. A combination restaurant and bakery. Was recommended to us by a friend who had eaten there. We had eaten shortly before so just purchased bakery items. They were excellent, especially enjoyed the Apple fritters! See the pictures from a look at the items offered.

On our way home to Denver from Juarez we needed a place to stop for breakfast. Google recommended this place and it did not disappoint! I had an omelette with papitas and it was pretty yummy. My husband had the same and said that his food was bland (he's a very picky eater. I disagree with him) the tortillas were amazing! So much so we brought some home (you can buy them!). I'd definitely go back if we're ever in town again.

The food isn't the problem here. In fact, in my personal opinion, it's the only reason they thrive and are still doing remarkably well. The crappy attitudes of the waiters or waitresses is the elephant in the room, that apparently Charlie doesn't address. It's NEVER consistent. On my second to last visit, the waitress was otherworldly! She was amazing and I made sure to compensate her via her tip for the stellar service. This last time? Horrible! Got my own silverware. Asked for a refill twice. Got the waitress chit chatting with a small circle of the crew not looking very productive. I'm sorry, but as a former waiter, I work too hard for my money to give incentive to that type of service. Once Charlie cleans house, I'll make it a weekly stop again. Otherwise, the inmates seem to run that prison.

The baked goods are huge and delicious! The apple fritter was one of the best I've had, and their eclairs are amazing. I didn't get a chance to try their homemade tortillas, but they smelled sending and they come off of a tortilla 'machine' and go right to the bag to sell. The staff we friendly, and the service was fast.
