Story

Charlie’s is a lakeside Restaurant and Marina on beautiful Prior Lake, MN. Charlie’s sits nestled in a neighborhood with a lighthouse inspired entry to greet guests as they enter the restaurant. “Our Lake” themed interior features large windows for sweeping views of Prior Lake, along with décor featuring images of the lake and location's history. The upper dining room and bar seats up to 108, with an additional 40 seats on the balcony, perched 18 feet over Prior Lake. Below, Charlie’s has two levels of lakeside dining, along with a retail space for Charlie’s merchandise and ice cream. Charlie’s is also home to a marina for visits to the restaurant, as well as seasonal slip rentals.

I went here for my birthday dinner and the view was amazing! They have a lot of fun drinks to try. The fish and chips and tacos were really good. The reason I’m giving only 4 stars is because the service could have been better. Our waitress was training someone but it took forever for our waitress to even come greet us. And then after we placed our appetizer order we had received and finished our appetizer order (25 min) before she was able to come back to take our main order. I also had to ask 3 times to get a side of ranch dressing. It didn’t seem too busy inside the restaurant but maybe her training someone was effecting our service but I will definitely try this place again.

This will be my second season frequenting Charlie's and I've been happy with almost every experience. If you want a patio table on a weekend, get there early. They have breakfast on weekends which is huge portions so bring your appetite! Fried avocado is the go to appetizer. Make sure to try their bloody Mary, it comes with a yummy surprise. Parking can be messy but they sometimes have valet service if it's really busy. Downstairs has an ice cream window that the whole family will love.

Fun place on the lake, great view, great place to take family and friends, to "show off" Prior Lake. Friendly and service minded staff. Pretty extensive menu for all groups. I really like their food, the Walley tacos and Asian chicken wraps with peanut sauce are awesome. Dockers to help tie your boat up while arriving from the lake. Best restaurant in Prior Lake for sure! We keep coming back.

Still recommend for their shrimp pasta but I ordered a juicy plucy the first time and got a regular burger. Showed the waitress and she apologized and said she would bring back the right one. The second time around she brought back the same burger. So I finally said screw and just ate the burger. She did how ever void the burger without even asking or suggesting for it. So in all not bad place. Probably gonna stay away from the burgers

Really big place, small parking lots. Place seems kinda hidden in between neighborhood. Building looks clean, organized, and pretty. Wait staff was helpful, friendly, and fast. The food I had was good and really good portion for the size. I went there for a trivia event on Tuesday night, pretty cool addition.
