HORRIBLE!!!! SNOTTY ASSOCIATES!!! RUDE MANAGER!!!! I bought a pair of flats from the store located in the Columbiana mall in Columbia SC on 9/28 for my brothers wedding. I went to probably 20 stores that day throughout several cities trying to find the right color that was going to match my dress which I bought the same day. I found these flats that were on sale, tried them on (but didn't walk in them) finally satisfied I found shoes to match I bought them and took them home. About a week later I tried my dress and shoes on and realized when I walked in them that they were incredibly painful on the backs of my heels. I ended up having to quickly buy a pair of shoes the morning of the wedding at a Kohl's (Oct. 1). When I took the shoes tonight (10/14) to return them, (there were no name tags on these girls???) what looked to be maybe a manager asked if I needed help with anything and I said I needed to do a return on some shoes, once she took them out and saw them and my receipt, she had a look of disgust on her face when he asked snottily, if I "still have the original tags" which I took out, that were not attached to the shoes with the plastic piece, and she snottily said 'we can't accept these because they are on clearance and the tags aren't attached. Our return policies are printed right here on the receipt' (while tapping her finger on the rec'pt) So I told her that 'I work a retail store, and you don't have the little gun that puts the plastic tabs back in the material?' and she said 'No.' So I told her that I would take it to my work and re-attach the tags and she said again, annoyed 'We won't take it back. the only thing we can do is give you an exchange'... well this store isn't quite my fashion, and I asked for a gift card so I could come back another day because I had a lot of homework to catch up on, and she said no???? That 'exchanges can only be done.' So reluctantly, I ended up buying a sweater top that was the only thing I liked that was about $26. So in order to 'get my money back' I ended up having to pay this store another roughly $12 for the rudeness I got? Unbelievable. NOTHING on that receipt says that clearance items are a exchange only/final sale. It does say original tags must be attached (which I could have done at my work, but apparently she didn't like that idea) within 30 days and a receipt. I had all 3 squared away. Customer service in my store is to satisfy our customers, whether its out fault or theirs. We accept returns on stuff we do say we wont. Why? Because it makes the customer happy. And as a new customer, and that being the second time I've ever stepped foot in a Charlotte Russe, I will never be a returning customer again.. Even the day I went in there a girl who helped me was rude and had a 'I have better things to do' attitude. U-b-e-l-i-e-v-a-b-l-e. I work retail too, and know the hard times that it can be, but by no means would I treat customers at my job the way I've been treated. That horrible $26 I spent there, helps contribute to the company and their snotty employee's paychecks to a small degree. Without your paying customers, you have no paychecks for the employees and no profits for the company. I'll never return there again. Kohl's, Target and JCPenny offer great clothes, great prices, and hey, positive attitudes and great customer service too!

I went here looking for a really nice outfit for a special occasion. I went there and the store manager stopped me and told me about their (SO CALLED)) great buy one get on free sale. At the time I thought that sounded really good! So I ended up getting a really cute outfit! But because I was in a rush I did not try the paints on and one of the employees told me that they should fit by her size chart. Anyways I got home and the pants did not fit at all so I went straight back to the store the same day! When I got in the store I told the manager that I wanted to do a exchange on the pants and right a way she looked upset. Well I went to see if they had any of the same pants in a bigger size but they did not! As I was approaching the counter I happen to hear the manager and employee actually TALKING about me like I was a suspect or something. So I just ask for a full refund and was denied because the pants was on sale but was told I could do a exchange (Note: their receipt only says REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE) It says NOTHING about if an item is on sale that you can only exchange it! That is the trick! Anyways I spent 30 mins trying to find something else. One of the other employees earlier that day told me that they had more of those pants in the back so I asked the manager if she would check. She went to the back and came back with 5 OTHER ugly pair of pants, put them on the counter in front of me and told me to choose from those!!! By that time I was upset and just embarrassed and wish I NEVER had even spent my money there!! And the manager and employee was still whispering about me. The manager was frustrated when I asked her to call the other store to see if they had the same pants! She called and never told them the name of the pants or the sku number she just asked them did they have a pair of blue jeans with a design! At the end I just grabbed another pair of pants and just left! But I would say this.... I have never felt so humiliated in my life and I will NEVER shop at Charlotte Russe again!!! I don't even think that store deserved the 1 star rating!!
