My husband's identify was stolen.  Whoever stoke it called Chase customer service and told them he wanted to dispute the last 4 car payments we made. The claims were put in against these payments.  Several hours later after 4 temporary credits had been applied to our account he called customer service back and asked to have a certified cashiers check sent to him. Not only did the bank do it, they sent it to an address that is not even ours. We also had 4 charges for  $243.00 from a fabric store in New York.  They refused to dispute those charges. We went to our local branch where I  really thought our Banker cared about us. It appears it was just an act. He found out that due to the identity theft (which was not our fault) Chase closed our accounts.  My husband's mother has 3 accounts at that bank and when my husband and I went in to close our account and take out the little money we had left our Banker told us it may be a good idea for his mom to take him off as a cosigner so her accounts don't get comprised.  We agreed and told our Banker we would not only advise her to just give him power of attorney but to switch banks. No our Banker was not my mother in laws Banker and told us he could not discuss this issue with her, it's against the banks policy.  Well please listen carefully.  Our Banker called my mother in law and told her anyway! Apparently they don't have to follow rules and do as they please. I would never refer this bank to anyone and they are part of our fraud lawsuit!
