A park i grew up hiking and fishing in years ago. Great trails, from easy to moderate. Good rock formations and peaceful picnicking bear a waterwheel at the north end.

An expansive park with many interesting features! I’m still working on walking every bit of trail in this park, so I’m sure there’s still much to explore, but highlights include the Indian Caves, the Chimney, and the waterfront, as well as miles and miles of views! There are multiple pavilions and charcoal grills throughout the park which make Chatfield Hollow ideal for picnics, parties, and outings. Do know this is a paid park during the summer, but there are swim spots, so very well worth it on a hot day. Trail maps are sometimes available at the park, but you’d be better off printing one off the State Park website beforehand or snapping a picture of a map board on your phone.

Great walk at Chatfield. Plenty of paved roads, easy and challenging trails and no cars in the winter months so walking the dog there is great!!

It’s a great state park, perfect for hiking, running, walking your dog, swimming,... There’s a paved road you can walk on and also forest trails. There’s usually enough place to park and there are enough restrooms in the park.

This is a beautiful public park. They have swimming and it is very well maintained. People love to walk dogs at this park.
