A very nice park for a city park. Great Beach area with gradually sloping area for kids to play in the water safely. In the summer We enjoy going there in the evenings on weekdays when it is not very crowded and having a R&R. We bring some takeout pizza and live The Good Life.

Beautiful spot for camping, we camped here in late April and had the whole place to ourselves. Clean showers, tidy sites, nice staff. Pretty sunrise and sunset. Very quiet, easy access to all the sites in Chattanooga. We will definitely return.

My husband and I got married in the indoor pavilion here. It is a gorgeous place with great views. We've also camped here and visited the beach. There's no chage for parking and plenty of parking spots. The campground isn't to costly, but you definitely don't want to come when they do a shift change. We waited an hour just to check in. Not sure what took so long.

If I could give less than one star I would. First the park ranger at the ranger station was very rude and wouldn't let us pay cash for a site that wasn't reserved. Then we went to reserve the the spot online and he proceeded to tell us that the spot was probably reserved, so at this point I had my phone in my hand showing them it wasn't reserved at all for the month of April not even one day. But he kept telling us it wasn't available. I have been camping here for a very long time and will not be returning because every time I come to stay the rangers are ruder and ruder.

Nice safe place. Clean restrooms and showers. Laundry on site. Rangers patrol regularly so safety is paramount. Racoons get into the trash cans easily so take trash out in the morning or they will fight over it. Beautiful views from any campsite. Plenty of kindling to be found. I don't fish so I don't know about that but I see lots of boats on the lake.
