I have lived in this area all my life and can remember back to when it was called "LEW"S". Since it has become Chester's, we have enjoyed the same variety of great grocery items and the deli offerings are awesome. We truly go there because of the people who work there. And that intangible is what makes every business successful . We really enjoy Sean and Neil in the deli / meat area, they always know what we want and what we like. One thing I have noticed is a heavy turn-over in employees, coming and going, with a small core of the staff that has stayed in place. Now I see some of those employees are leaving. This "RED FLAG" tells me that there is a problem at the top and that the a slight turn over in staff is healthy, but a mass exodus is a problem. We chose to Shop at Chester's, but Lincoln City is only 15 miles away.

Besides the cool hand painted sign on the side of the building this is the best place in town to buy groceries. They have a liquor section which is rare for a store like this. They can make sandwiches to order which is pretty cool if you want a simple turkey sando to go. Nice assortment of beers, although if I may suggest try replacing the Red Stone IPA with the Green Stone IPA in your cooler ;)

Well priced, decent selection. If you're staying at a room and need some snacks this place is way better priced than the marketplace next to the inn.
