I recently called out Chief Roofing to get a quote because of a leak over my garage.  I had originally had some work done on some roof flashing to repair the leak by another roofing company but they were not able to fix the leak.  I had called a number of roofing companies and many either did not call back or simply did not show up for our set appointment.  Chief Roofing was extremely responsive and showed up promptly for our appointment.  In fact, they were communicative throughout the entire process and gave me updates along the way.  Chief gave me a very reasonable quote and set the date for repair.  We had a good bit of rain which pushed back the repair and Chief Roofing continued to keep me updated with timing of the repair work.  They repaired the leak on the first attempt and did a great job - both functionally and aesthetically.  I would highly recommend Chief Roofing for any roofing repair needs.  They were highly responsive, prompt, professional, and respectful.  They get the job done!

I read a review on here that was negative. I am a Residential Designer and Builder.   In all my dealings with Chief Roofing on and off over the past  10+ years the only complaint I would have is that I did not use them enough. 
Melvin the owner is one of the most professional people I have ever met this company is the best Residential Roofing Company in the Triangle by far.

One time years ago they did a large roof replacement for me on a beautiful home in Chapel Hill. Melvin said his crew would be there early. I had several appointments that day and did not come to the job-site until about 1:30 in the afternoon. I was angry when I drove up because there was no one there. Then I looked up at the house and realized they had replaced the entire roof that morning. I could not believe it. My business partner and I  were laughing all afternoon  because we tried to find one piece of evidence they had been there. There was not one old nail,piece of shingle or paper anywhere on the job site, absolutely impeccable and this the way his entire business is. If you have issues with this company you are probably the problem.

Melvin came out to our home for an estimate after fire damaged a large portion of our house. They were recommended to me by a friend. Melvin was on time and very knowledgable. Although I feel he is a little to open with his personal information (attributed to his passion and personal investment in the company) he was exceptional as it pertained to the work. He was patient and listened to my concerns. He offered multiple options for my needs and even put me in touch with other contractors to help with the repairs. Furthermore, having the opportunity to deal with Shelly & Janet was just fantastic. They have a real desire to offer the best customer service possible and as a small business owner myself, this is very important to me. Thanks guys for all your help!!!

I agree with smallfaucet!!! I spent 3 hrs with this company discussing doing an upgrade to their VERY amateur designed website! Most of the time I had to hear the very rude owner talk badly about his employees! I'm a professional & would NEVER treat ANYONE this way! I took my time to help this company improve their web status which ALL my clients are VERY happy with my worked. I have 2 degrees and have never had this experience with ANY potential client. They promised to get back to me in a week, it was 2 months later and I called them and ask them out of respect per my taking my time to at least tell me what was going on, they called me back and rudely told me to go F myself! The worst!
