Estab in 1949, children served are from families of every ethnic, religious & racial background, low income, without dental insurance or are under-insured.

Story

Services are provided for $20 fee, regardless of number of services provided. No child is ever turned away if they cannot afford to pay the fee.

Services include:
FREE services during Children’s Dental Health Awareness Month (February)
* General dentistry provided by a full time dentist and dental assistant
* Exams, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, root canals, sealants, extractions, space maintainers
* Dental screenings for first grade students in San Bernardino city schools
* Dental hygiene outreach and education to fifth grade students in San Bernardino city schools
* Oral hygiene instruction for all dental patients
* Referrals to dental specialists for minor oral surgery and orthodontics
* Community outreach and education

The dental clinic provides professional dental services to over 9,000 children each year, through public school outreach programs. Several dentists in the area work with the dental center staff to provide orthodontia. Each year, over 2,000 children are treated at the 6th Street clinic, performing approximately 10,000 procedures.

Mission

Assistance League of San Bernardino is a non profit organization whose volunteers enrich the lives of children by providing school clothing and general dentistry services.
