I am giving this place 2 stars only because Dr. Garcia is so capable. But the average of 0 (front desk/customer service) and 5 is still a 2.5. The consistently dry and negative attitude, combined with being given extraordinarily faulty (or outright false) information on my last two visits, means the best I can offer this office is a 2.

The gatekeeper at the front desk severely detracts from Dr. Garcia's talent and abilities -- this is where the irritated attitude comes into play. It's the first and last thing you deal with in the office. I have nothing but glowing reviews to offer about the good doctor's handiwork, so I hope this review is taken seriously. 

They definitely treat you differently depending on whether your insurance is private or state funded. If you are on Medi-Cal, run for the hills. 

I saw Dr. Garcia twice last month and am in the midst of serious ongoing dental work. I am on vacation out-of-state and have pain in a tooth that is a documented and x-rayed issue. I asked only for antibiotics so that when I return home, it could be remedied. Nothing can happen right now in regard to treatment until I have taken a course of antibiotics.  All I was told was to "find a dentist where you are at" because this dentist "can't prescribe antibiotics if you are out of state."  The tone was callous as usual.

 I am taking their advice to heart and I will be bringing my business elsewhere. I also will not be recommending this office to anyone as there are too many dentists and professionals out there without a salty front desk who are capable of speaking to their patients with respect. 

I'd articulate more of the issues but I have other things to do, like leave Disney World and go find a dentist who can help. 

Update: got a new dentist. Problem solved!

If I could give less stars I would because this place has zero professionalism. After a horrible tooth extraction my husband dealt with two months of shards falling out. Now he's in immense pain because the dentist refuses to pull a giant chunk of tooth- they will not receive our business any further as this pain is intolerable and no care was given- no pain prescription either even though the dentist gave it a yank. Very horrible work!!
