Story

Chimera - a fire-breathing she-monster in Greek mythology having a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail

It's also a quaint little cafe in downtown Tulsa offering the finest coffee, mixed drinks, beer, wine and fresh delicious food.

Our Coffee will be sourced from multiple roasters; the best of local and renowned roasted beans are used in conjunction with unique brewing methods to give our guests the finest quality coffee.

The menu will consist of healthy and environmentally conscious items sourced locally. We offer breakfast tacos, sandwiches, pastries, soups, salads, smoothies and more. From 7 a.m. to late night, there is now an affordable healthy option available downtown.

We will, through our full bar, cater to the casual beer drinker as well as anyone with a taste for scotch. Mixed drinks will consist of infused-liquors, coffee, as well as fresh fruit juices.

Great coffee, great food, and great service. I would come here everyday if I was able to. There is an incredible amount of things that I could say in support of Chimera, but what sticks out to me is the quality of coffee and the atmosphere that is presented. There has never been a time that I felt anything but relaxation and peace while here, even during the incredibly busy hours. The only negative aspect is that I am too far away to go there consistently.

Coffee selection was great the food was okay... the cauliflower wings were over sauces but still a great choice. Overall a nice attempt to accommodate vegetarians and vegans. Bathrooms smelled and the back bar and staff were disorganized. Ginger beer is made in house like several other things so highly recommend that.

I’ve now been to Chimera twice in the past few weeks, both times for Sunday Brunch. Other times I’ve come by in the afternoons for a brew with friends. 
Chimera has a ton of good coffee and usually an eclectic selection of beer (8taps). The nitro coffee is my go-to. 

Brunch - it gets busy, long lines to order food and a decent wait to get ordered items. Breakfast tacos are a bit pricey (4-4.5$/per). Patience though, it is worth both wait and price. Three tacos are enough to fill me completely and I’m a big guy. 
There are seven different tacos and you get to add a salsa to each; what I’ve had are delicious. 
The place is mostly catering vegetarian/vegan dishes, and is all good. 
There are a lot of seating options, indoor and out.  Bicycle pickups just outside. Well lit indoor and music plays lightly.

This was my first time at Chimera, and boy was I not impressed. It's a Thursday morning, and boyfriend and I are at work and decide to get some breakfast, and settle on Chimera because they have food that sounds ideal and coffee. We call the order in ahead to eliminate wait. We get in and the decor isn't bad. Like others have said, it's industrial style. We tell the guy we called in an order and he gets the ticket for us. It's.... pretty steep. $5 for a 12oz latte and $13 for essentially a scramble. We get the coffee and wait for a few moments, still waiting for food. We wind up sitting there for a good 20 minutes when the guy behind the counter tells another worker (a lady) to go look for our ticket. We're told "oh, so it looks like the printer didn't send your ticket so we're getting that right away". She runs to the back to tell them to make it and comes back out and says they say they've already made it. They both look and there's a brown bag on the counter. The guy asks her who brought it up, and she responds with "Oh, I did! I just didn't tell you."

Are you serious. So not only am I overpaying for lukewarm food and a mediocre lukewarm latte, I've been waiting for way too long and now get to explain that to my job. The order was called in ahead of time. I did my legwork so I didn't have this issue.

I have no reason to return.

My friend was doing a fast and this place is very accommodating for vegan meals. This is kinda like a Starbucks but better because they have actual food here like sandwiches and stuff. They also have delicious hummus.
