We placed our order at 6:40 pm on a peaceful Saturday evening of roast pork egg foo young at China Garden. We received the order at 7:20 pm. There was no gravy for the entree so we called immediately to request the gravy. They said they would send it right out. At 8 pm we still had not received our gravy so we called again to check on the redelivery of the gravy. We were told in an unfriendly manner that "We are busy!" We continued to wait until 8:25 pm when we decided enough was enough and went to the physical location of the restaurant itself demanding a refund for the order that had taken almost two hours. We went back and forth with conversation then escalating to argument about the refund. Finally a refund was given. Between the horrible and atrocious customer service accompanied with average food made for an abysmal experience.

Never ordered delivery. Ordered takeout about 10 times since 2014 (since I moved to Affton) and never had a bad experience. I know some people have, and what they say is probsvly true. I just haven't...and I literally live a mile and a half away.

I guess ya just gotta try it for yourself. Works for me.

I have never written a review in the past for anywhere but felt I needed to share my interactions with this restaurant. The food is mediocre. But the service is the real concern. On delivery, several times, items have been missing. When called back I have been told that they are always too busy to bring this item back but they will give a free item in the future. This is frustrating enough as is, but because I infrequently go to this restaurant because of the okay food, I have never tried to redeem the free items until today. When I called, they said it was not in their system and that I could just order more food to qualify. When I said that this is not good customer service and that it is not my fault that it was not put in the system, they hung up on me. I will not be giving this establishment any more business.

Food is good. Watch when they give you change. The girl almost shorted me.

Always good food. Good prices. I’ve never ordered delivery so i can’t comment there but pick up is super quick.
