I was so excited about this Chinese takeout place. I had read so many positive reviews online. When I arrived, I discovered that the entire place was in poor housekeeping condition. The tables were dirty; the chairs were dirty; the floors were dirty; even the walls were dirty. There where lots of bugs like gnats, flies, and other insects flying everywhere. All of this is concerning when food is being prepared in a facility. My friend and I decided that we would just get the food to go, so it wasn't such a big deal if the dining area wasn't in great shape. Unfortunately, later on we both ended up getting stomachaches from the food that we ordered. I don't really have a lot of confidence in this restaurant at this point. If you go for a meal, be aware that the state of the place is certainly far from clean. This may present health risks, but the best way to determine that is by checking with the health department.

Very good food and prices. We call ahead, and orders  always ready in about 15 minutes.  Never got sick from their food, and it's prepared fresh for every order.  The person who said it was dirty, was not in The China House.

Best Sesame Chicken around!! Fried wontons, General Tso, lo mein and green beans in garlic sause are great too! I try to go here any chance I get for the seame chicken. The family is great too. Again the same person claiming this place is dirty with bugs, says something horrible about every Chinese place. I've been eating here since the day they opened and never has this place been dirty or bugs everywhere. Never got sick from thier food either. When it's baseball season, I eat here once a week and I'm never disappointed. Great food.

We have tried chinese restaurants all over Pittsburgh.  This place has some of the best, if not the best, General Tso's chicken we have experienced.  Always freshly made and very tender.  In numerous visits over several years, we can't remember a takeout order that wasnt excellent or made incorrectly.  Our only complaint?  Sometimes a long wait after arriving to pick up pre-ordered takeout.  But they're busy for a reason!
