I was a bit hesitant to go because of some of the reviews. But a friend swore the food was good, the atmosphere nice and it was clean. So I went with my family and I was pleasantly surprised. We went mid day on a Fri so there were only 2 other families there, I was like "Oh God, a Chinese restaurant as big as this with 2 customers"!???!!! My kids and husband and I looked at each other and I took a deep breath and said "Well the food smells good so let's give it a try". We filled our plates with a variety of foods and it all tasted GOOD!!! The service was good, the food was good, it was clean, the ambiance was nice and I'd go back in the middle of the day on a Friday because I think the food would be fresher getting ready for the Fri rush. When we were leaving more and more people started coming in. Fri rush??  I'd definable go back. While reading reviews I always try to remember to look at how many positive vs negative reviews and keep in mind you can't please everyone, that's okay they just have to please me!!!

This place is now called KO Steakhouse what a great change in place!
My family and I tried this little Gem today, and so glad we did. Seeing they only had reviews on Facebook I was very skeptical, but WOW the reviews were on point! The kids loved the fountain full of fish inside the front of restaurant and they loved getting to feed them.
 They have a nice salad bar, the salad and all components were nice and fresh, the Tortilla soup was  delicious. The kids had cheeseburgers for their kids meal and the burgers were nice size being they were kid burgers. My wife had the montery chicken it was amazing great flavor and very moist! I usually tend to go to Texas Roadhouse for a nice steak as another person's review mentioned but this place just took its spot. I had the Top Sirloin that was a great size and cooked on point to a nice medium rare. Delicious! The garlic parsley butter put my steak on another level. I hope this place makes it. My waiter Michael was very attentive and took care of us. Henry the manager was very nice and brightened my kids evening with letting them feed the fish. Thanks Henry for the Desert the cheesecake was amazing! We will be back soon!

China KO, the huge building, formerly home to a vast buffet behind Shipley Donuts on FM 1960 and Timber Forest Drive has converting to Steak and Comfort Food.

Some time and attention is needed to convert the look of the restaurant into a steak house.  You're basically sitting in a huge banquet hall surrounded by unused Buffett tables and Chinese restaurant decorations... But hey, they played country music.

Pretty decent Chinese buffet. The sodas tasted a bit off. The service was pretty bad this go around. The manager/host didn't seem like she knew what she was doing and seemed to make more work for the two young men who were trying tirelessly to help her. So getting drink refills were timely.

Food is decent, it's a buffet so I don't know what the others were expecting. Interior is nice but the pond is kinda depressing since it is over crowded
