Big hype, not much to do or buy. Lots of smokers. Place smells horrible. Roads and side walks are trashy. No public rest room anywhere unless you buy something. With that said, not a place for children. Skip this place. Everything priced for tourists. Food is about the only food thing you can find here at reasonable price. Some restaurants are jammed packed, many customers waiting outside. Parking is okay if you stay within the 3 hours and get your ticket validated, meaning you have to buy something.
Absolutely terrible service... I ordered coconut chicken that was supposed to be lightly breaded chicken with snow peas and water chestnuts served over rice... I opted for fried rice and asked for a side if lo mein.... so they decided to put my rice on side and my noodles under my coconut chicken smd it was swimming In an absurd amount of weird coconut sauce with barely and vegetables and PLAIN WHITE NOODLE swimming in it... my "fried" rice was instant rice with brown stuff squirted on it... Definitely was not fried rice but here come the worse part... I said excuse me but I ordered a side of lo mein and they put it under my chicken and way too much sauce didn't need mentioned because I separated everything and it was very evident... but the lady stood very close leaning over me and was like oh do you want a plate to put it on si e I wanted it on the side I said it's just plain noodles for 1 and no I don't want a plate to put it on she said ... plain ?? What's wrong with it? I was clearly uncomfortable and did not want to argue back and fourth I was over it and asked her to take it off and bring me the check she stood there... I had to ask for space like please just walk away she brought me noodles with brown sauce smh because I'm like even if it was brought on the side like it's just gonna be a plate of noodles? No lo mein has some vegis n brown sauce cooked all together ID NEVER WANT COCONUT sauce poured on it and I showed a picture because now I'm just Mas and want to go I told her I didn't want it and take it off... at this point it's not even the food but the fact that I had to go through all of that... they brought my a check with full charges and my husband said hey um take this off... they did.... I didn't eat any of it
Love this place! Amazing food and drinks! Customer service is so great and friendly. Great atmosphere.
It seems as if the place is packed because there are many cars parked in the front. but there is plenty of parking around the building and the inside is huge with many tables! I got the pork chops with potatoes and a salad off the American menu. There were two pork chops cooked perfectly and about an inch and a quarter thick. The potatoes were decent and the salad was very good. They put chunks of pineapple in their side salads. I asked for blue cheese dressing which had a very unique flavor which was also excellent. My wife got the sweet-and-sour chicken which was awesome and had very minimal amounts of breading. Another person got the cheeseburger off the American menu which was tall and beautifully made. Another person got the ham fried rice which was also excellent. Prices for the entrées was about $12-$13. The burger was $6.75 The waitresses were excellent and fun to talk with. From the looks of other reviews I would say to eat in and not get takeout.
Definitely no recommendation from me...15.20 for rice in a container smaller than my credit card and general tso's that's mostly liquid and barely any chicken!Food: 3/5
Very good food and excellent service. I ordered 2 homemade eggrolls and shrimp and broccoli. The kitchen was prompt, considering how busy the restaurant was. Portions were generous and well presented. Service was quick and efficient. Overall, the best place in Mansfield for Chinese food!Food: 4/5
This is the best Chinese restaurant anywhere, not just in the Mansfield area, anywhere. Get the Chinese chicken noodle soup, General Tso chicken and definitely get the bacon fried rice, it will blow your mind how good it is. Owners work the restaurant and are as nice as they come. Here’s a tip for ANY carry out, don’t get breaded foods in sauce and expect them to be crispy and super hot when you take them home and eat them 30 minutes later. I’ve read reviews about China town that weren’t pleasant and strongly disagree, eat at the restaurant if you want it steaming and crispy, use common sense people.
Very friendly staff, quick service. Egg rolls are oug of this world. Other dishes were pretty good. 2 out of 5 in our group really liked the food. Would be great for parties.Food: 4/5
I love their sweet and sour chicken!!! Their egg rolls are the absolute best! Yes I highly recommend China Town restaurant. I have been going there for over 30 years!
Never again! My husband and I stopped with friends a few months ago. My husband ordered a pork and rice dish. He said the taste was so so but he did finish the entire dish. A few hours later he spent the remainder of the evening throwing up in the bathroom. We decided to stop in again because we thought his ill stomach may of been due to something else he ate or a stomach bug. He ordered a vegetable dish this time and had the same results. Sick in the bathroom for the remainder of the evening. I had no problems with the food however I did not have any of the rice options. The bill was certainly too pricey for mediocre food and a very ill stomach. Disappointing!
