TL;DR: Decent service, but lacking integrity in billing practices. Try to be seen elsewhere if possible. The service here wasn't bad. My only complaint was that the guy asked me how I was doing and then interrupted me when I started answering, then seemed kind of...not rude but just cold while taking my vitals, like he didn't want to seem too friendly. I know 'how are you doing' can be a rhetorical greeting, but at the urgent care I guess I expected them to really care. The nurse I was seen by was very polite and friendly. She examined me, called me in a prescription, and I was on my way. My big gripe is that they charged my insurance company an 'after hours' fee, like they had to open the place up just for me to come in at 430pm. If you're open, you're open. Don't charge people $84 to walk in the door. And if you do, tell them right then that they will be charged a fee that their insurance may not cover (because it's an arbitrary charge to begin with that's at the discretion of the practice). And of course when I called them to ask about the charge they told me billing is handled off-site and gave me another number to call so they don't have to hear about it. I let them hear about it anyway because they're the ones who should have told me about the charge up front. I see they replied to Marianne's review about this a month ago and were supposed to get in touch with her. Well, maybe they did get in touch with her and make things right, but they sure didn't become any more transparent in the way they charge customers.

Very nice and clean building, offered me hot chocolate and tea, the staff was very nice. Great place.

This urgent care charges a fee ($84) for 'after service' care, which is not covered by insurances. There is not an actual person to talk with in billing...I've left two messages. There are definitely other urgent care companies in Severna Park to choose from.

Everyone that I spoke with there was so kind to both me and my son. They gave him a popsicle while we waited for the strep result. The staff there really tried to make our experience as pleasant as possible. It was also very clean!!!

I arrived about 30 minutes before closing time and was rushed through to such a degree that an accurate medical history wasn't even taken! The x-ray tech was very nice but the Doctor and medical tech were not. I was given directions on caring for a sprain yet none of those measures were provided or even offered by the medical staff- literally not so much as an ace bandage. For a patient that already had that ankle reconstructed once due to improper care of the initial injury back then. For a patient with a connective tissue disorder that in this case causes joint instability! Really doc you wouldn't want to try to stabalize (at least a little) the part that is injured and maybe prevent further injury? When I asked about it he reacted in such a way that i wasn't about to follow through with that request! I have every intention of pursuing this through the medical board, BWMC and whoever else I need to talk to so this doesn't happen to someone else. I know my body and my disease and was not heard!!!
