Cinema Café has been located at the heart of the Central Valley in Merced, California for over the last 17 years. Owner, Gerardo Olvera, purchased Cinema Café right after selling his 366 seated restaurant Butterfield’s located in Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip, and relocated to Merced, CA to live with his wife. Cinema Café quickly became a spot favorite among the locals, college students, and tourists heading to and from Yosemite, looking for breakfast and lunch. We are proud to serve traditional breakfasts and lunches, including some of our classic dishes, such as homemade Chile Verde, Eggs Benedict, and our Farmer’s Favorite served hot and ready for breakfast. Also serving our whopping half-pound burgers, such as our Gerardo’s Burger, and various other sandwiches and salads for lunch. Our cooks always welcome custom orders as well and our staff thanks you for support!
