Been there as a wedding photographer several times for my clients. The process is pretty streamlined among 13-15 stations (to some, may seem too quick) but I recommend earlier hours, before 10 AM on a weekday. There are longer lines afterwards, especially if you also include the chapel ceremony (registration may take just 10 minutes). Obviously, the presence of lots of marrying couples takes away from a "special" feel but gives that good collective vibe. No professional photography is offered so bring yours. There is a specially designated area with a well illuminated photo backdrop (and a line), however, so even phone photography or amateur DSLR will do.

We had a great experience! It was a little difficult to figure out the process from the website - we weren't sure how long of a wait to expect. But, we arrived by 8:45 and were finished by 10:00, including a few photos after the "ceremony". The office runs very efficiently and all the staff were friendly.

I came here to get a domestic partnership. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get in (and go through the security scan and metal detector). The inside area is very large. Once we were inside we gave a clerk our IDs and they gave us a number. We waited another 20 minutes to get called and then sat with another clerk who charged our credit card, and processed our domestic partnership. Everyone was friendly and the process was pretty easy. I felt a little strange to be with all the other couples. And the gift store was a little bit cheesy. But overall a very pleasant and nice experience. Consider me happily domestically partnered!

Easy peasy, getting married was a cinch and if you don't pick a day close to weekend you can get married all in an hour. The clerks, aside from security, were really nice too.

Got married here, it was conveniant and within a reasonable time, being there were many other couples tying the knot the same day. ALWAYS knew I'd be married in Manhattan and I was... Dreams really do come true!!
