The Olympia police department is pretty much useless. I've had garbage cans thrown at my car with my six year old daughter with me, by some chemically imbalanced "neighbor" who then brandished a sword at me. When opd arrived they stated that I "have a history of speeding down this road" and did nothing to the perpetrator. What they did was then set up an officer to radar the drivers on this particular road trying to catch me speeding ,what a joke. Also I've been assaulted twice, which each time required visits to the hospital , dentist , doctor and surgeon, opd showed up each time but never filed any charges against either perpetrator. In one instance my face and skull had five fractures and the other has cost me over $9000 in dental surgery, which won't be paid for by the crime victims compensation fund because no charges were ever filed. What I've found is that you're better off not ever reporting any crime because nothing will be done about it.opd would rather let the thieving homeless drug addict criminals take over our capital city instead of doing their jobs correctly. Olympia used to be some place people wanted to go and visit or even live here, now its a mecca for drugs and crime.

Sargeant Wylie was in charge of this decision and I am very disappointed! Completely unprofessional. Towed my car with no warning due to the parade today. there were no signs where I parked the night before when I had parked the car. Also, I live on the block my car was parked on, they were running registration plates for phone numbers, they could have quit being lazy and walked up to my apartment while they were researching my information such as address and phone number. $190.40 due to this station being a bunch of lazy brats who didn't get signs put out early enough and then didn't come to my apartment even though they were RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT to warn me.

This department is absolutely corrupt, I have to deal with witness intimidation after posting a domenstic violence video per the request of police. luckily I am from Chicago and I know who at Providence downtown is invovled in bringing Drugs into Olympia as. I did a DEA forensics job. I will not be helping here because I got threatened. I could care less about spoiled brats overdosing after the racist disrespect and havin to endure threats for trying to help a woman’s with domenstic violence,

OPD is a sad excuse of a police department, they're sneaky and will break the law to hand you a ticket if you dont know your rights or they know you can't prove them wrong.
