These cops are literally racist. They had no probable cause nor valid reason to interrogate a friend simply because he was black. He had 2 wetsuits that he was about to return to his friend and cops go up to him and assume he stole them. The friend shows literal texts that he borrowed the wetsuit from a friend and the plan they made to return them. The cops STILL don't believe him and ask his to CALL the friend at 8am..... if you don't believe this was racism consider this: if a lot of bikes get stolen, are cops really going to interrogate random people they see with bikes? No. They won't. This happened at 8am 8/8/17 two cops near bagel cafe in Isla Vista. I hope they get fired.

I called to report a trafic violation by an officer that made an illigal U-turn. I was trying to be helpful when calling yet I was spoken to in a manner that put me on the defensive. Now I'm being what seems to be harrased and followed. To the good men and women keeping our city safe, thank you for putting your lives on the line keeping our community safe. To the bullys, behave and be kind.

I've never had anything but positive experiences with the SBPD. I really can't understand negative reviews.

Wow... now I understand why this department has such poor reviews. I called to tell the department that someone had put traffic cones in the Milpas round-about and they were scattered everywhere because of people driving over them. Dispatch told me that they thought someone was moving big vehicles through the area and that's why the cones were there. I repeated that was great, but it didn't put the cones back in place out of the middle of the traffic lanes so they weren't impeding traffic anymore. She said "Okay well we might have someone look into it thanks" and HUNG UP ON ME! God am I glad I hadn't called with an actual emergency... with SBPD I'd probably be dead.
