They were very accommodating in giving us a table with no reservation on a Sunday brunch hour. Super appreciative for that. The steak frites was done to exactly as requested. As was the brie burger and that salad chopped was probably the biggest portion were seen. Service was on point so no real complaints. If there was one thing I had to say... The burger sounded better on the menu than what it actually was. The garnishes just didn't mesh well... Maybe it's just my palate.
The gorgeous gem hidden within a luxurious crypt of Back Bay... My server had the grace of an elven princess and I enjoyed her burger thoroughly. I asked for spicy mayo on the side. City Table will be a reoccurring bite for me to withdraw and escape the boisterous cityscape...
YUM! Our salmon was fresh and cooked perfectly. Our waitress Kylie was the best! She was very attentive and personable. First time but most definitely will not be my last.
We just finished our Boston Duckboat Tour and were looking for a place to eat. We looked at the window menu and loved what we saw. My wife is a vegetarian and they have two amazing mushrooms dishes. Wild Mushroom Tart: 72 hour marinated mushrooms, feta, etc. that was very tasty and savory. I had the Chopped Salad with a great presentation and perfect texture. Entrees were Wild Mushroom Pappardelle that I wished I had too and the Spicy Bolognese was good and had nice flavor. We ended our meals sharing a slice of Carrot Cake. My wife had an adult beverage Blueberry Lemonade that had a nice blueberry overtone. We can highly suggest City Table if you are in the area. Side note, very nice restrooms with automatic doors plus very clean.
Firing on all cylinders! Trying to find a high quality steak and eggs, and a cocktail before 8am isn’t easy in Boston. First of all, steak and eggs is not on the menu, but steak frites is, and therefore they will sub the fries for eggs to order and breakfast potatoes for $36. My screwdriver was poured to perfection not too much OJ and Tito’s in the well - eggs were over easy and steak came sliced and was mid-rare. I state this because unfortunately that’s not always a given anymore. My only critique is that the steak sauce is a little sweet for my liking. However, much better than every major brand name 1950’s steak sauce at every other brunch spot. They make their own and it’s delicious, I just suggest they add a little fire to it. Great job City Table!
My friend and I had a lovely dinner at City Table. It was our first time eating there and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect- service, food, location, atmosphere. There were also lots of dietary accomodations on the menu. Our server Ana A. was amazing and was extremely attentive to anything we needed. I will definitely return to City Table. Dietary restrictions: The were lots of dietary options on the menu.
My husband and I just walked into this establishment and as we were headed to the bar a hostess who was definitely not fluent in English of Hispanic descent stopped us to tell us there were no available spots at the bar. I proceeded to tell her that we were ok with sitting at one of the high top tables which there were PLENTY available. She told us that they were ALL reserved. There was no way that they could all possibly be reserved… I should mention that my husband and I are Hispanic. It was obvious we were not welcome at this establishment so although she said she would “check” with management if we could be seated, we left. As we walked out, I called the restaurant to find that they had plenty of seating available and they proceeded with helping me make a reservation. I guess they couldn’t tell I was Hispanic over the phone so they were happy to make me a reservation. Needless to say, I did not return. Ridiculous
Went to this place for brunch on a Saturday morning. It wasn’t very crowded at all! Our server was very witty and made sure you check on us multiple times. I got the French toast which was very delicious! It came with homemade whipped cream that paired perfectly with it. My boyfriend got the omelette with a hash brown that was especially tasty; almost like fried dough and fried potato all together in one beautiful dish. I would definitely recommend this place for brunch! Mimosas were tasty as well.
A great restaurant for brunch! This was the best Eggs Florentine I've ever had. It was so delicious I had to stop and savour each bite. I opted for lobster with it and was delighted by how tasty it was with the Eggs Florentine. The fruit was fresh and the venue's atmosphere was welcoming. The staff are friendly and courteous. I highly recommend you check this place out.
Tuna tartare and grilled octopus were absolutely delicious. Spectacular meal.Food: 5/5
