Terra at Eataly Boston
"Located on the third floor of Eataly Boston, Terra is inspired by earth and fire. The dining room centers around a wood-burning Italian grill, where Chef Dan Bazzinotti cooks over open flames. Pair the playful and plentiful grilled dishes with herb-infused cocktails, rare wines, and barrel-aged beers."

As soon as I walked up stairs the aroma of the ribs being slow cooked over the grill had my mouth watering. Sadly I couldn't get any ribs because they were only for the patio menu, but I did get the lamb kabobs. Still the food I had was fantastic. I didn't order any pasta so I can't speak for that. The service was great as well. Lastly the amount of natural light and plants/greenery makes the restaurant feel very welcoming. I definitely will recommend this restaurant to anyone I know going to Boston.
An awesome restaurant and Italian specialty food grocery store. The Terra had a beautiful atmosphere, the service was excellent. The bartenders were awesome and gave some excellent suggestions for drinks. The waiters were prompt and attentive. Food came out awesome and the pork chops were one of the best I've had in a long while. The dessert to tie it all together was too notch. We stopped by the store and bought some food to make at home. A much worth it dining experience!
Beautiful interior, very nice ambience, just OK food. I was really excited to eat here after seeing so many wonderful photos, but was slightly disappointed when I actually dined here. The interior is designed beautifully and definitely enhances the dining experience. The food however, was just a bit underwhelming. Everything tasted good but wasn't anything that stood out. The pasta dish was a bit bland and the salad was a bit boring. The one good dish was the Burrata e Pesche -- crispy and soft bread topped with creamy cheese, sweet grilled peaches and a very flavorful pesto. It was a very balanced dish and I would definitely recommend trying it! I do want to come back and give this place another shot. The food that was cooking on their open grill looked DELICIOUS, so I'm hoping to try something off of their grill next time around. Hopefully I can update my review and give this gorgeous place a higher rating!
WHY would you ever go here when there are so many great Italian restaurants in Boston? What a huge mistake. The food is mediocre at best and the service was disappointing to say the least. We arrived at 6:25 for a 6:30 reservation for a party of 5. 1 person was running a few minutes late. We mentioned this, and the staff emphasized that they would not extend our seating time because our friend was late referring to the 90 min slot for reservations. No problem - we didn’t even ask for it to be extended, and we wouldn’t expect it. It was an interesting comment to make the first time you greet your guests though. The next interesting moment happened when our drinks were brought out by a server who was actually visibly rolling their eyes and clearly did not want to be there. In fact, everyone at the table noticed it, and we all thought that it was a bit strange. But we get it, we all have bad days. Then, we noticed some tables around us got bread and some didn’t. Our table never did, so we asked, and got bread… 45 minutes after getting seated. Finally, 40 minutes after ordering our food and 70 minutes not a typo after our reservation time, the food arrived. This was a long time to wait for food with no update from our server. Furthermore, it simply makes no sense to tell customers that they will be enforcing a 90 min seating time and then serving food 70 minutes into the seating time. The food was a 3/5 at best. The cherry on top occurred when we presented a box of cupcakes for a birthday, the server magically appeared within seconds despite completely disappearing the entire time we were waiting for our food to tell us that we absolutely cannot eat that in the restaurant. That was not a problem at all, but an interesting observation. Overall, the priorities of this restaurant are highly questionable. They are overly concerned with enforcing rules such as seating time while they serve food over an hour into said seating time. We did not feel like the staff made an effort to make customers feel welcome. Given this, and the below average food, this place is definitely not worth it. At least it has some cool fake plants for Instagram.
The ambiance of this restaurant is great. Relaxing design, lots of plants, friendly servers. The food was great only improvement could've been the sort-of limp, sad salad given with the eggs benedict. Would definitely come back for another Sunday brunch!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
Loved this restaurant!! Gorgeous interior and atmosphere. I asked for a desert menu when grabbing drinks with friends and loved the Terra plate. The Spring Spritz was delicious as well. Can’t go wrong with this menu! Cake + Drinks + Plants = great night.
The ambiance is 10/10! All of the food was excellent and we love a mock tail choice! but we felt like for what we paid, we didn’t really get enough to feel full. If I came back it would be for drinks and apps!
We visited Terra for dinner on a Friday evening. The entire experience was perfect! We had a lovely Italian wine and shared a delicious mozzarella appetizer with squash and pumpkin seeds. For dinner, we had the flank steak with a truffle addition and the pasta with truffles. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. We loved the entire milieu; it felt like we were eating in an Italian garden! We would definitely return. The food was outstanding and the truffles were amazing!
Ambience is great, which I guess is what you're paying for and not the food. The food started out as eh... The bread was burnt to a crisp. Ravioli was good but a bit sad to look at. Steak was overcooked. Pasta was ok. Does it justify the prices? Debatable.
Best coffee I've ever had. Went for the brunch menu. Food was ok, not the best in the world taste-wise. Chef doesn't allow accommodations aside from allergies to the dishes. So if you're a picky eater, you'll be out of luck. Overall 6/10 for food, 10/10 service/server, 10/10 aesthetics. We'll return to try the dinner menu tho.
