Really lovely place to grab a drink and some light apps! I only had the French onion soup and gnocchi but they were both delicious! Not to mention their blind luck drink was tasty and the location is great. Definitely a good place. Would recommend!Food: 5/5
Amazing outdoor atmosphere for brunch. The live music was a nice touch. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Our table enjoyed the fresh baguettes and French onion dip for appetizers. The basil avocado smash toast with salmon and egg was delicious! Our table did not have an umbrella so we did get some intense sun for a few minutes until it passed behind the buildings. Overall it was a great experience and would go again!
Lovely place! Went there for dinner one a Tuesday night. There was a convention happening nearby and the place was full of the attendees. Our dinner took a while to come out, but they gave us free dessert and apologized profusely to make up for it, so they still earned 5 stars! All the food was delicious, especially the ravioli.
Fantastic place to eat is one of the best places in the area I could ever recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice meal with great vibes. The drinks are fantastic and the food is extraordinary. I love how they’re open late so you can get your fix at any time of the day, no matter what your mood might be.
i don’t write reviews of this length - a business traveler and been to many restaurants with varying qualities - u pay for what get in services food and expectations may not match if food is excellent than will return for more - sat at bar and did not appear to care my guests service beer bottle empty wine glass empty - not a query to refill wine until another bartender asked if okay to take away finished plates reminded other to refill wine glass …- reminder bartender i wanted another glas of wine - too busy chatting what staff and not noticing guests eye contact or attention service - first visit and last visit - check was ready and not noticed it for sometimes - bar area was not busy at all - been to boston many times and different french restaurants all over US and first visit here and ?? food was good overall not impressive - management to monitor services quality - single person dining is not typical guests - guests have researched to dine or not here
We went on a Saturday when the weather was amazing outside around brunch time. We sat on the patio outside and enjoyed the lovely breeze and the nice vibe coming off from people around us including the Eataly patio. My friend and I ordered the steak frites and the turkey sandwich. I didn’t try the steak but my friend loved it! I personally had the turkey sandwich only ate one half and took the other half to go because I wanted to leave room for dessert and I really enjoyed it! The bread is delicious and the sauce inside is amazing!! We also enjoyed 2 orders of toasted baguette with butter YUM! And, for dessert, we each got a creme brûlée with a side of espresso. The creme brûlée was delicious! But I rather it comes without the whipping cream on too and a biscuit at the bottom; I prefer a traditional creme brûlée. But it still tasted very authentic. I can’t wait to go again! Maybe next time we’ll reserve a seat indoor
Our server was so gracious offering to take photos for us and was very personable. The food was great and the bucket of bubbles from their menu was awesome for sharing. The chocolate mousse was amazing and the French onion soup was some of the best I've had. Although they serve it with croutons rather than a piece of bread but that's a personal choice of mine.
French Onion Soup made with a beautifully thick crust of Gruyère cheese, huge chunks of Oxtail, and croutons. This is a meal in and of itself. Last night I chose this restaurant based on its French Onion Soup reviews and the soup definitely did not disappoint, I arrived late, around 9pm on a Friday night and was able to sit patio side immediately and enjoy the warm summer evening. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Great ambience, delicious bread... not good food. Very over spiced or flavorless, not much in between. Seems like more a place to grab cocktails and eat elsewhere - was definitely a bit disappointed especially at the price tag.
TLDR: Skip this place, unless you have no other options. And if so, get the octopus. This place has a really cool atmosphere. However the food and the service fell so short of expectations. The steak tartare portion were a bit off. A good amount of tartare, but they only provided two half slices of bread. The gnocchi is tiny, which is fine, but compared to that, the sauce was overwhelming. The foie gras was interesting, the apple gelee on top almost didn't seem to work with the light mousse and looked a lot like bacon fat. We eat with our eyes first so... The duck was very good, but needed something else, a vegetable side or carb side. The octopus was probably one of the best bites there. Desserts were nothing to write home about. Peach parfait was a plate of strawberries that were soaked in syrup, peach icecream and a cookie. The creme brulee was not bad, but had a bunch of actual burnt sugar, not brulee, burnt. It took almost an hour to get drinks. The cost of the food was steep for the quality of food and service. The restaurant was not busy enough to justify having to have a 3 hour+ meal. The service was EXTREMELY slow. Very very nice staff, just not at all timely or mindful.
