City View Bar and Grill is conveniently located in Woodlawn by the beltway. The perks are the location, parking lot,  table service and events such as daily happy hour and weekend Jazz Band Performances. The downfall would be most menu items and alcoholic beverages. I've tried their different pastas, fish platters, soups/ salads, etc. Everything I've tasted has been very bland. Good portion size, but bland. The advertised specialty cocktails are weak and watered down. The best item in the restaurant is the City View Baked Wings. They are my absolute favorite and cannot be duplicated. The traditional rail drinks are pretty good too. Although City View isn't the total package in my opinion, the perks are major and I will remain a patron of this business.

Pretty nasty place, not clean and it smelled dirty and greasy like the 20+ year old carpet hadn't ever been cleaned. Service was pretty lacking also, half of us didn't get the food we ordered with the others or it was wrong. Huge menu, not sure that is a good thing. I pretty much stuck to eating fries, but they were good. 

There is a pretty big lack of decent places in the area, in general, so if you can go out of Woodlawn I would recommend it.

We ordered the crab cake sandwich, mushroom caps with crab and a grilled chicken salad. The grilled chicken in the salad was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The crab cake sandwich was delicious and the mushroom caps were overflowing with crab. YUM. Our waiter was courteous and prompt. I'll definitely return.

Don’t waste your time with this place! I’d rather visit Red Lobster, Olive Garden or Green Turtle, mind you, I️ don’t eat at either of these places but either one would be much better. In addition, our waitress informed us that the manager on duty was actually cooking the food! NEVER AGAIN! 

Catfish had ZERO flavor, my 13 year old cousin can make better crab cakes! My family at the next table ate a quarter of their food. How do you mess up a cheesesteak and fried fish sub? How do you serve two chicken cutlets ( as opposed to breast) with an abundant amount of dry garlic pasta. How does 90% of the party absolutely hate their food? 

You’ve been warned! Eat here at your own risk!

City View has a great adult atmosphere 
The live music on Friday is treat. I highly recommend this spot.
