Under construction, understandable, but my room had hole in the wall behind door from door knob, no door stop.  Caulking around the bathtub was not filled in there were gaps and spacing didn't look neat at all. Staff was very nice. Complimentary breakfast was good. Seems like they just need to put more effort into the small things in the rooms.

Hubby & I stayed overnight for a family gathering on Saturday Nov 11, 2017. Upon return to the Clarion Inn, I noticed that the back door to get in to the hotel was NOT locked, but, it was not yet dark, so I wasn't too concerned....UNTIL....I asked the evening desk employee, "What time do 
you lock the back door to the hotel?", and was told, (and I quote!): "Oh, we NEVER lock the back door....we have plenty of cameras. What is your concern here?" So I told the employee that cameras will NOT stop anyone who wants to come in, disguised, and do whatever is on their heart 
to do. I told her I was going to go up to my room and call Clarion Customer Service number, which I did. The person at the Customer Service took my information and gave me a Reference #, and put 
me on hold to check with the evening desk employee. When she came back on the line, the Customer Service person told me that the evening employee had told her that this was a "safe area" and I had nothing to worry about. Well, yes, Cornelius, NC IS known to be a "safe area", but when has THAT ever stopped anyone if they are determined to do anything??? PLUS.....the Charlotte Airport is about a 20 minute drive from here, and you know....the airport employee that just got arrested & fired for having a HOMEMADE PIPE BOMB thingy???? So WHO KNOWS??? Anyway, the lack of security & safety is a HUGE CONCERN to me here....after all, this back door DOES HAVE the key slot, so what's the big deal about locking the back door after dark??? ANYONE can get in, and immediately walk up the back steps....UNSEEN to any of the other floors!!! So, there you have it. STAYER BEWARE!! I know that WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN unless the policy changes to LOCK THE BACK DOORS AT NIGHT!! Good grief....THAT'S what the KEY is for!!!!

From the minute we walked into the Hotel we felt comfortable and at home. We arrive early and was exhausted from our drive. the staff couldn't do enough for us. They got us into the room ASAP...  The staff is awesome, the rooms are big clean. The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in in a hotel.. When they said they serve breakfast I was a little hesitant but got to say excellent. Making your own waffle is a great idea.  I would recommend with pleasure if anyone is going to NC in or around Cornelius NC stay at the Clarion Inn, This hotel  is unrated it should be 5 star..

Bathroom shower was dirty. Toilet was dirty. Mirrors had something splattered on them. Sink had green substance on it. The only good thing is the front desk associate was very nice  and helpful.

Seriously it's 10 at night and they are outside with a power washer!! This place is a joke, mold in our shower, yesterday we had to switch rooms because we got stuck INSIDE the room the door would not open! Seriousoy save your money and sanity go somewhere else
