TOP NOTCH HOTEL!!! We travel extensively. Experiencing good and bad hotels has become a part of our travels. As I stated to the manager many times during our stay at the Lake Norman location, this hotel is top notch from cleanliness, friendliness and customer service. I applaud such an excellent staff and management team. I don't write many reviews but felt the need to write this review because recognition deserves to be spoken in this case. I would recommend this hotel with a five star rating! P.S. Exceptional service from Mayte as she prepared last minute hot foods for those of us who like to sleep in on occasion. 😉👍

The hotel was extremely clean and smells clean. The staff was friendly. There was coffee and cucumber water for the first when we arrived with oranges and apples. They have a pool and a hot tub. The only issue I had was the towels they provided wasn't stacked enough. So make sure you ask the staff for a towel. They had an exercise room that seemed maintained. They had a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, waffles, pastries, 6 different types if cereal, sausage, biscuits and gravy, milk, fruit cups, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. They have an outdoor sitting area to eat or hang out. I seen on the flyer that Monday through Wednesday they had appetizers and beverages for free for the guests. Our room was huge for 2 queen and a fold out bed with 2 tv's. I would recommend staying here again.

The hotel was apparently purchased by new owners and despite having reservations well in advance we found our family in the middle of a "Renovation Weekend"!!! There was a problem with an A/C with the room we reserved for my daughter and son in law that left a portion of room completely soaked! Management's initial response was poor to say the least. Instead of immediate change to another room we were told that a handyman was to replace the unit, which never happened, and finally the next day a room change! Despite the pleasant desk clerk who performed our check in and the kindness of the breakfast helper, Mayte and desk person Rick, I'd probably not recommend the stay. We were particularly angry about an over reacting night manager who's short on smarts about customer relations and long on bad attitude, who shall remain nameless, however management knows who I mean and should get rid of him if they'd like repeat business...

I have arrived to the Country inn in huntersville, nc tonite at 9 pm. After 13 hours driving from mass. The room was cold, window was taped, cold air was coming in and there were 3 electric heaters on the floor. I was too tired to take it up with the front desk kid, so i just plugged electric heaters in and then i lost electricity all together. Now nothing worked. Couldn't shower, shave and the room was cold. Went to the front desk to complain. The kid, who refused to give me his name (later found that it is Gary) or his mgr's name, said there was nothing he can do and manager was in his bed (????). When i said that he should wake up the mgr (his name by the way is Bobby R. PRESTWOOD) and have the circuit breaker fixed, he called in the police. Officer Jernigan arrived with a partner and now i had to take him to the room where my dead tired wife was asleep and show him all the problems. Are you kidding me? Then the cop, who was a good guy in this story, was going between me and the owner on the phone. I don't have his name unfortunately ( now i know it is Patel). Negotiating a refund and offering me to find another hotel. All this instead of fixing the damn breaker. Finally poor officer left exhausted. This is absolutely worst hotel in the country!!!!" Stay away!!!!!

Newly renovated! Breakfast! Complimentary snacks in lobby! Manager reception during weekdays (pizza, wings, etc)! hot tub! Very nice Jacuzzi rooms!!! Nice staff!!!
