Story

We are pleased, and excited, to announce that Claude Marcel, the internationally accomplished stylist known for his high-profile clientele, has changed the name of our DESSANGE salon in Old Town Alexandria, VA, to CLAUDE MARCEL salon de coiffure & spa. Trained under the internationally acclaimed Bruno Pittini, and a top DESSANGE stylist for 30 years in France, Switzerland, Italy, and the USA, Claude Marcel will be continuing his role as owner and artistic director under the new name. Claude is one of AVEDA's 20 global artists and will be going on a world-wide tour for AVEDA showing the AVEDA network his beautiful French haircuts. We truly are a rare find with a price range to fit anyone's budget.

Sally is an amazing talent! She has been cutting, coloring and styling my hair for several years now! She troubleshoots new ideas with me, as my cut is short and funky. I've seen Sally work miracles on all styles, including more traditional cuts for more senior clients. She's always pleasant, and remembers conversations we've had, and follows up each appointment. I also enjoy being greeted by Ange, who manages appointments and check in and out. Her talent is also a valuable part of each visit to Claude Marcel I highly recommend this salon.

We've taken our daughter's here for the better part of two years and it's been really really great. It's a bit of a drive for us but entirely worth it. The stylists always add a special touch to both of them every time. Our primary goto, Cierra is brilliant. Brilliant with hair and brilliant with kids. It's just a wonderful experience plus the benefits of an high quality product salon. Highly recommended.

In the words of Coco Chanel, "A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life."  After leaving this salon I felt just that way, refined, confident and beautiful.  Claude and his staff were so courteous, friendly and engaged with me during my entire time there.  Their passion for their work and  appreciation for their clients definitely shows.  I am sure to return!

I really liked the salon and staff, but when I was trying to make an appointment, nobody was answering the phone though it was working hours! I left a message but since 12:08  nobody called me back. It is 1:16 right now.
