This page was created to provide people who live and work in Clayton, NC, or others with an interest in access to information about us and a platform with which to interact with the CPD. This page is monitored and managed by the CPD.

The Clayton (NC) Police Department is a CALEA accredited agency working in partnership with the community to help prevent & deter crime & promote positive interactions between the police and those we are sworn to protect.

The Clayton (NC) Law Enforcement Center is located at 315 East Second Street; business offices are Monday – Friday from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm (except holidays). Police protection is provided 24 hours a day / 365 days a year and is facilitated with the assistance of the Johnston County 911 Communications Center.

The Town of Clayton is a "911" emergency community; for ANY police response -- DIAL 911
