This is a hidden little gem in the San Gabriel Valley. I like to come here when I get the chance to. Good beer selection and good atmosphere. This is an establishment in Rosemead. It has a lot of boats displayed, good for the family. I get the fried chicken dinner with the half and half salad. Super good. The servings are hefty, two people can eat of one plate. It's really relaxed atmosphere. Older crowd, so you save yourself from the drama of things getting out of hand. A lot of TV and sports everywhere. Staff is very nice and always serving you with a smile. Stop by if you get a chance.

Clearman's Galley is a great place to come and have some great food. It has lots of TVs so you can see whatever Sports is going on, and it has a very fun atmosphere. However if you do not like loud noises this is a very noisy Place. Great for kids great for family and they have an excellent menu. Come on down and try it!

After the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day, four of us went for dinner to Clearman’s Galley “THE BOAT”. Lots of big screen TVs showing live football and basketball… but the food and beer are not so great. We ordered BBQ Chicken Wings, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, Cod Dinner with salad, Clam Chowder with Salad, and Tamale Plate with Salad. Good News: the Tamales and clam chowder dishes were quite good. HOWEVER, while the BBQ Chicken Wings were brown and crispy on the outside, the chicken was not fully cooked on the inside, and the accompanying house-made blue cheese sauce was thin and watery. The cod was also pretty brown and crispy on the outside, but the inside was under-cooked and mushy. The Philly cheese steak was really unpleasantly greasy. And, the salads were nothing special. But it gets worse! We ordered a Dos XX Amber, a Hop Notch IPA, and a House Tequila Tonic. Both beers and the tonic seemed really flat. We complained to the bartender, and he said: “I told you what the drinks were and you got them mixed up”.  Although the bartender was not customer-friendly, he did replace all drinks at no cost – but, guess what: they STILL tasted really flat! So we can’t blame the bartender, just the beer quality control in the restaurant. Service was okay, but the restaurant atmosphere was very noisy – well, it is a “sports bar”. Overall food quality was mediocre, and quality of drinks was bad.  Not recommended at all.

Awesome place with great happy hour specials and a cool place to meet new geocaching members as I attended my first group meeting.  Friendly people and great service. Cozy little patio with nice lights and clean. Thank you

We love the "boat"! Their salad and cheese bread is to die for! My husband always gets the chili burgers which are amazing. Unfortunately, their clam chowder isnt what it used to be. Next time I'll be sure to try something else. I still recommend this place, though! It isn't cheap, but won't break the bank the way Northwoods Inn will.
