The Inn is the former home of James I. George, co-owner of the George Brothers Nursery, which once shared this site. The nursery's specialty was the clematis vine, which erupt with color in the spring and give the Inn its name. The current owner and innkeeper, Theda Ann Burnham, has restored the property to its original beauty and has decorated the interior, which is an Edwardian style, in the Art Nouveau decor.
