Would give 0 stars if I could. Have no problem paying more money if it's a really nice place. They say 85.00 in middle of September mid week is worth river view. Well river view if you could back in and have hookups on the right side of 5th wheel. We would have had to share our picnic table with sewer hookup. That is we had to go get picnic table two sites over where there were 3 of them. They are unfriendly just pay your money and sign. No map where anything is. I just paid 23.00 at another Good Sam park and received map if where things are. We had to use 4 wheel drive to turn truck around because sand was so deep. Don't get me started on what site looked like. Several other places with great discounts for over half less without discount to stay at. Think they want you to pay for their solor system because on top of 85 a night you pay POWER!!!!!!

We have had a fantastic time. The staff were nice when we checked in, the campsite is very clean and well maintained. The owner introduced himself and answered our questions about local area and the flooding. He also lent us two life vests for our grandaughters so they could swim. Just nice people and a beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful place and by far the best place I have ever camped at. The sites and beaches are always very well maintained and the staff will always bend over backwards to help you the best way they can at all times. This will always be my favorite place to stay and hope to watch my children and any future grandchild enjoy it just as much as my wife and myself do.

I've been coming here since I was 18 years old all by myself with a tent and a jet ski. Now I'm twice as old and I still enjoy RV camping with my husband and children. The resort used to be a private campground with members. It was a lot less expensive back that, but the resort wasn't nearly as nice. No campground will ever be free of irritating campers/eyesore campers/resort rules/maintenance issues etc. that being said, club royal oaks is the closest I've seen in Southern California. The river is a great highlight, but it's not the reason we go month after month and year after year. We come for the friends we've made, we come for the peace and quiet, the green trees, the mowed lawns, the huge sites, and absolutely for the management and maintenance. Those who have complaints are clearly not regulars. If they were, they would know as I do that the staff and management will bend over backwards to help all their guests as fast and as well as possible. I've never once been stuck camping when I couldn't get same day fixes to my RV or boat or site. I've paid less to camp at other campgrounds on the kings river, and there is a reason CRO costs more. It's safer, it's gated, there's storage, there's a river, the staff are fantastic, and the regulars are just good people. I expect to grow old at this campground and watch my kids and grandkids enjoy it. The negative reviews are from people who stopped in for a short time. Don't listen to them. Bad experiences here are very rare, always dealt with by the management, and multi-generation families who have vacationed here for decades do it because the experiences here are overwhelmingly good.

We've been coming here a few years now because of convenience. Its always been so so. So we we're planning our yearly trip for my wifes birthday we made our reservation 3 months in advance. Well as life goes something came up and we called two and a half months o n advance to cancel and were told that our 100 deposit is not refundable. Now if it was a short notice cancelation i would understand but two and half months. Thats just wrong. Oh and the charge for electricity is outragous 4 days was 40 dollars and i didn't run my air. So they stoll 100 dollars from me for doing absolutely nothing, electric is highway robery, costomer service is questionable,, 85 dollars a night? Well decide for yourself.
