In 2016 our family had the opportunity to spend the Summer at Sea Ranch, where we own some vacant land. Our realtor referred us to Cathleen at Coasting Home. She quickly honed in on our preferences and within a couple of days was able to identify a willing owner with exactly the type of house and location we sought, and within our budget (which was limited). So we were able to spend the Summer at Sea Ranch! We greatly enjoyed the house and Sea Ranch, and found Coasting Home to be very helpful during our stay. For example, when we struggled to find a good babysitter for our young son, Cathleen connected us with someone who turned out to be a perfect fit. We're extremely grateful and can highly recommend Coasting Home!

The Coasting Home staff are really easy to work with and uber-friendly and helpful.  They helped me find a place that would allow two large dogs, had a fenced garden where they could lay out in the sun while I read the paper on the porch.  The dogs loved location.  My only complaint was that housecleaning was not as nice as I would have liked.  There was stale water in the tea kettle which I dumped out, the kitchen counters were sticky and had ants on it (the ants disappeared and did not come back after I wiped them down with soap and water) and there was a 1/2" thick layer of lint in the lint trap of the dryer.  Other than those issues which I was able to take care of myself, I had a wonderful stay!

I've rented twice through Coasting Home in Gualala and the whole process has been very smooth and friendly.  We loved the house we rented in 2015 so much that we booked it again for 2016.  You can't go wrong with these lovely homes on the California coast.
