The setup was about as good as it can get. Great ambience, helpful staff, warm and clean. The rooms have showers in them which is very convenient. I was able to relax and see some cool imagery. I came out very happy. I slept well that night and my skin is soft as well. Two reasons I took a star off... First is the pricing. It is really expensive for a single float. I wouldn’t buy one without a groupon. The second reason was the noise. It’s above a post office so every 5-10 mins there was a loud bang. It was really disctracting. Even with ear buds in. They provide music, but that was really distracting as well. I think either rain or white noise would suit them better. I would like to try this somewhere with complete silence to get a true effect. I would come back.

I had my first float here last night and it was superb. Friendly, helpful, staff, clean facility, great shower, great ambiance and great rooms. This was only my second float, so I am basing my float quality off of the other one. I felt like I had much more buoyancy here, allowing my head to stay at the perfect level in the water and not sink too much. The water temperature was absolutely perfect, as I was able to lose sense of where the water line was on my body and face. I only kept the lights and music on for a moment, so the majority of my float was in the dark and in total silence. Compared to the other facility I was at, this place was silent. Perfectly silent. I noticed once I got settled and opened my eyes, that I could see light seeping through the lid seal on the pod and after my float I was able to identify it comes from under the door to the room. I suggest placing the towel for your shower across the bottom of the door during your float. Since I got cats and started sharing a bed, reaching this level of meditation has been a real challenge. Organizing through my active thoughts, my brain was incredibly cluttered with random bits of info throughout the days that really needed to get cleared out. This was the perfect float to get that stream of consciousness down to one. Will definitely be back and will likely be getting the float membership.

 - Cocoon Float Pods gets 5 stars:   The staff is very friendly and helpful and they keep the facility immaculate.  They clean the shower, pod and changing area after each customer. They welcome all comments, and particularly on how to improve the float experience for the customer. 
- First time floating, so they showed me intro video so I knew what to expect, and then they showed me what I needed to be aware of getting in/out of the pod. How to turn off/on music and lights, what to do if one get some float salt solution in my eye....etc.  Even though it was my first time, felt very comfortable through the entire float.

It was a great experience. I've been "floating" for a while now and I found it very relaxing ,but the first time wasn't great.  I itched a lot everywhere in my body  the first time. It takes a few "floats" to really absorbed and gain lots of good things from this experience. First, you can start with relaxing music and lights ,next you can move on to darkness and silence which I think should be the goal to get that "happy" feeling at the end of a session. Friendly staff , extremely clean and pods are always the right temperature. I would recommend to try at least more than once and ask questions . The staff can recommend some literature and tips about floating.
