Collective-the art of craft is an artisan owned and cooperatively run Vermont craft gallery featuring local artisans. Every day a different artisan works at the gallery so be sure to stop in and meet the makers!
Please come and visit Collective-the art of craft located in the charming New England town of Woodstock, Vermont. Nestled in the valley between the hill towns of Pomfret, South Woodstock and Barnard, Woodstock is the sort of hideaway town that slows one down to a relaxing pace after moving so rapidly with today's world.
Collective is located in a large, historical stone building adjacent to the Kedron River running through the center of town. This building was the first industrial building to be built in the town of Woodstock and originally was used to mill flax into linseed oil, perhaps with the use of a water wheel set into that very brook! A little imagination and a bit of time and you might find life as it could have been even a century ago.So come, step inside and visit this 19th century space, feeling its magic as you explore our creations hand wrought from glass, fiber, pottery, metal, wood and paper. The artisans at Collective offer you the creative blend of beautifully honed and excellently crafted objects for everyday use - be they cups for drinking, bowls for serving, clothing and jewelry for wearing, lamps for lighting or art pieces for hanging on the walls.
