I've never moved before and I wasn't sure where to go to get moving support. I was referred to College Hunks and I wasn't sure what to think at first. However, everything went incredibly smooth all the way from the initial contact to the final payment. I was able to set up my entire order via chat with a customer support person. The pricing was on point and incredibly reasonable. I received a phone call the day before my move as well as a half hour before they arrived on site the next morning. Being called was great instead of me having to call them to ensure everything was on track. The two workers, Sean and Alec, were professional, courteous, and careful with all my belongings. College Hunks made my life a hundred times easier! I would definitely recommend them to friends and I am so glad that I chose them for this move. Thank you!

Horrible service as movers. They should stick to moving junk. Slow, slow, slow. Trying to scam you for all the money they can. It's not what you think at all. Not staffed with young college aged "hunks", as the website makes you believe. This is a franchise that apparently anybody can own,  that has a truck and a dolly that thinks they can be movers.If I could give zero stars I would. Even though other companies may charge more, they will take less time, so it is definitely worth it to go with another company.

Hilariously wanted to charge us 950 dollars to move furniture 4 avenues away.  My girlfriend and I already moved all of the furniture from the main house to the new place..  All that was left was one upstairs apartment in the pool house, and a washer and dryer.

  The guy on the phone gave us a price for 2 "hunks" to come out for a set amount of  time.  I think it was like 130 dollars for 3 hours.  I thought that sounded like a pretty good deal.  But......  it doesn't really work that way.  They come out, look at the stuff you want moved and then hours later email you an estimate.  They estimated it would take them 6 hours to move everything.  If it takes 2 "hunks" that long, I guess me and my little girlfriend should become movers, because we literally moved everything from the main house in less time than these "hunks" can move one small apartment.

  So that price went from 130 which was originally told to us on the phone, to 950 after they evaluated.....  To move furniture from one small apartment..... four avenues aways.....  Hey the movers may be good at what they do.  They may be polite.  But I will never find out because who in their right mind would pay almost a thousand dollars to move some furniture 4....  avenues..... aways.....

I would not recommend this to anyone don't get me wrong the guys were great they did their job you no matter how unfair their manager was. My problem was not them my problem was the franchise owner / manager who is grimy rude and disrespectful. He offered me any false promises which ended up costing you more in the long run and did not feel in any way that he should make it right. I requested 3 Movers and he only sent me 2 and if he could not have sent me three like I asked he should have said that and I could have gone somewhere else and gotten the three movers I needed to move in quicker time. Now I budgeted for 3 Movers and how long it would be per hour he asked me if I would accept to to start out and that he would send me two more on top of that which I was even okay with because I didn't mind paying for 4 because it would have gotten done twice as fast. And I waited for the others no one showed and so it took longer which is just common sense that two people moving stuff is going to take a little bit longer than if you had 3 people moving the same amount of stuff which is what I budgeted for but he feels as if he shouldn't compensate me for the amount that I was expecting to pay because he didn't have the people to send me. But he couldn't turn down making that money and giving me what I requested which was three men which in a long run cost me more because I did the math and I would have saved a lot. I would have taking my business elsewhere but he made the experience not pleasant not stress free and still cost me a lot for a project that shouldn't have been that much. And since he is the franchise owner if you have any issues you have to do with him and the company won't stand up for their brand. All they did was send me right back to him for him to say the exact same thing that you said already in the same rude and nasty way that he said it. Like I said the two men that were sent did the best they could but it wasn't what I requested and it wasn't what he was promising me throughout their whole move until it was over and no need for anybody to come. Not only should you not support this franchise location but you shouldn't support a company who doesn't back up their brand and at least have other things lined up for issues with their franchise. I will be messaging the Better Business Bureau with my complaint because the company feels as though I guess they don't need to do anything even though the one I spoke to your corporate understood where I was coming from and said their legal team would get involved but yet nothing was done. So DONT SUPPORT THIS LOCATION!
