The Colony House has been one of Shreveport/Bossier’s premiere florist shops locally owned and operated for over thirty years. They specialize in floral arrangements for any occasion including weddings, special events or just to let someone know how much you care. In addition to floral designs, they have a wide selection of beautiful home accents as well as holiday decorations, which also make great gifts items.
As of May 2012, Kyle Loyd, a Shreveport native, acquired the business from the original owner who retired, Mrs. June Foster. Kyle has had a passion for nature and design since he was young. He started working in the plant and floral industry over ten years ago. He recently graduated from Louisiana State University with a BA in Architecture and a Masters in Landscape Architecture. He plans to continue the long tradition of high quality beautiful designs that The Colony House is known for, while incorporating his own talents and design ideas to carry the business into the future.
