Love this tiny airport! When you fly out of the DFW airport into Columbia it is another world when you land. You see all Terminals from wherever you are and they have a tiny food court in the middle. Security and agents are usually nice for the most part. Such a relaxed atmosphere. I wish they all ran like this one. One entrance area and one checkpoint area. Easy and efficient.

Nice and easy to navigate airport. People are friendly. Once you enter a gate, you will follow the arrows on the blue signs. The luggage pickup is downstairs by the car rental. When getting on a flight, luggage check-in is up front.

Giving this airport a mixed review. Airport itself: 5 stars. Good small regional airport with a simple layout. Very clean and well maintained! Obligatory super high airport prices on all food and beverages. TSA: 0 Stars. Disclosure: I have TSA Precheck. The checkpoint here seems to follow NONE of the standard and written policies of the TSA. *EVERY* time I go through this checkpoint I am subjected to nonstandard screening protocols. This includes having to remove my iPad and liquids from my carry on bag, and removal of shoes. At least I didn’t have to give myself a my own pat down, like at AGS, so that is a plus, I guess.

A fine regional airport. Delta and American fly out of here, mostly to their hubs like ATL or Charlotte. Food options are limited but acceptable. Tsa pre-check is often not accepted here, meaning while you can keep your shoes on, you still need to remove liquids and laptops. (Big pain)

Nice clean well kept airport a Welcome site to friends, relatives, love ones and first timer to a friendly area to "South Carolina".
