Doctor who has been my boyfriend's doctor and seen him like 4 times won't sign a form that if it doesn't get done, he won't get this job. It's just saying that his diabetes, which is well under control, won't interfere with his work. He has been fighting with them all day.

I can't stand this place.I honestly believe if you have MA health they will give you inferior care... Preface: I am a long time user of buprenorphine, aka “Subutex”, which is almost the same thing as Subuxone. At 18 years of age I developed an addiction to Oxycontin, which of course escalated into a heroin addiction. After about a year of that hellish lifestyle I got prescribed Suboxone, and than Subutex shortly after because Suboxone , which contains naloxone, gives me headaches.Buprenorphine is a partial opiate agonist, making it a decent painkiller for mild - moderate pain, but not nearly storng enough to treat severe pain. Buprenorphine also binds so tightly to the opiate receptors that it tends to block the effects of full-agonist, ‘proper’ opiates, such as morphine, oxycodone, vicodin, etc. When I was 19 years old. I was in a horrific car accident. Driving around a corner on a windy backroad, I lost control of the car and smashed head on into a huge van. I broke 7 vertebrae, my right humorous, and 3 ribs. I also had a concussion. Somehow I walked out of that car, and was airlifted to the hospital. Lost story short, I was promptly switched from buprenorphine to fentynal, and than to morphine, which I took for a couple months until I did not need it anymore, at which point I got back on Subutex, which has worked for chronic back pain from that accident ever since. There was no trouble, it ws no question; if you are in pain, than you need pain relief... A few days ago, I fell about 12 feet and landed on my (already damaged) back. I could not walk, my friends helped me get on the couch. The next day I had to have an ambulance take me to the hospital because I literally could not even get into the car because it hurt so much to move, at all. The hospital did some x-rays and said I did not break anything, which I find dubious (I know I broke a rib at least), gave me a shot of toridal (which lasts 6 hours), and discharged me, still in pain and still unable to walk. The ambulance drivers were terrific, I must say. The next day I saw my GP, who also did not want to give me painkillers. Go figure. He wrote me a prescription of toridal. Obviously toridol is not going to do it it when you are at a 9/10 level of pain. So I made another trip to the pharmacy, picked that up, and found it nowhere near strong enough, as expected. The next day I called back and told them that I really need some real pain relief stat, and made another appointment with my doctor that day. But it was not my doctor that I saw, it was a Nurse Practitioner. In this state, NP’s cannot even write prescriptions for narcotics, so it goes to show that the never intended on helping me. It was a joke. She gave me a prescription of Gabapentin. I was so angry, I have taken that drug before and it sucks. It’s America’s best selling placebo. I told her “you know, people like you are the reason people like me resort to buying drugs on the street”. That didn’t seem to bother her. Well, it’s been a full two days on gabapentin, toridal, and my precious subutex, which I am going to end up needing to fill early because I have had to take more because I need pain relief. Luckily, I was at least able to obtain some sedatives from a friend, which at least knock me out, allowing me to sleep through the pain. The pain is bad. I cannot stress that enough. I have not abused or even taken an opiate in almost ten years. I am not drug seeking.I am in freakng pain. I will try, yet again to get some real painkillers. I will probably be denied again, but I am not leaving them alone until they do they’re jobs. A this point, I have suffered so much that I wonder if it even matters. Two days later: Still in pain, never even received a call back from CHC (I called on Saturday asking to schedule yet another appointment). Avoid this place. They do not care about you, they only care about money, and if you need controlled substances, forget it, you are SOL. Eff this place.

Review of Fitchburg CHC Behavior Health: In general, the behavioral Health department is not that good. I would give it a 2 for quality of care, but since I am able to get my basic needs met, get my scripts refilled, I am giving it a 3. It is also convenient if see other doctors at CHC and there is bus service. There are 2, nurses of psychiatry (similar to a nurse practitioner in the general care department) and one dr of psychiatry (he is so busy, that I believe he is not taking any more patients. I started out seeing the woman, np-psyc, and we just didnt get along. Her style was abrupt and often inappropriate. She has said inappropriate things to me about me and the other staff in the office. She also gave contridictory information from session to session. Also I felt like she really wasnt listening to me or took the time to asses my personal situation. (I could write a book about my experiences with her). So then I was moved to Tony D, also a np-psyc, who is much more timely in the last 2 months, but prior to that, generally ran way behind, making his patients wait 30 min to 1 hour for their appt. However, in his defense, he took the time to listen to everything and answered all my questions. He showed genuine concern and was very caring. But he spends a lot of time looking at his computer for his notes and information which I believe attributed to his large delays. Recently, he is running on time, but doesn't spend as much time answering questions or suggest good alternative options to address my concerns & I feel a more rushed. (Oh well, there needs to be comprimise here). I have been seeing him almost a year and have learned how to work with hime most effectively. I need to rely on myself to take good notes during my visit and also my experience till I see him next. This way I have the information from previous visit(s), log of my feelings & my questions ready. I believe this helps me get my needs met more quickly. However, he still spend a lot of time on the computer and I am not sure why, I think he is checking notes, ect. Unfortunately, this does take time from the appt & for me it is a bit annoying. If you are not the type to keep good records or have a good memory regarding your discussions with him, he may not be a good fit, but worth a shot. And he is definitely better than the other woman.

I could not believe how rudely I was treated when I called. The nurse that I spoke with refused to keep talking to me stating, "I have been on the phone with you for 15 minutes and that is too long" and that she needed to punch out. She then hung up on me instead of handing the phone over to another nurse. I have currently been going to this health center for about 6 months and have received absolutely no help for my chronic conditions including but not limited to stomach ulcers, IBS, chronic pain syndrome, and anxiety. The staff is far from pleasant. It is as if they do not care about any thing but a pay check. My PCP (Dr. Kathleen Sweeney) was over two hours late to her last two appointments with me and offered no help. I feel like I am being robbed by the medical field. Not to mention they sent my prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy and I could not pick them up. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY!!! I am very disappointed and frustrated with their practice, their tone, and their professionalism.
