This place is amazing I have no idea what that one star review was that is rediculas.
Better then any mainstream bank you will ever go to I mean for Pete's sake they offer a checking account that gives you like 1.5 percent interest how are you going to beat that at a big for profit bank. Credit unions are owned by there employees and are for your interests first before any profits unlock the big banksters check the place out everyone there is very kind they offer great things and low terms. You really can't go wrong if your looking for a place in Brooklyn center

ALPA CREDIT UNION, my credit union for many years transferred their accounts to connexus credit union.  I had a small balance in there for years.  over the period of 5 months connexus drained my account with low balance fees that ALPA never had and I was completely unaware and then closed it with no warning whatsoever.  Now they won't talk to me about it and hung up on me when I tried to speak to a supervisor. Terrible customer service. DO NOT USE CONNEXUS CREDIT UNION.  

update 10/25/17:  Connexus called me back and agreed to send me a check for the original balance.  That was kind.  I have to give them a little credit for that.  The connexus policies do need some work, such as informing the customer when they close your account, or when they deduct inactivity/low balance fees?  No first class operation would drain your account, then close it, without even an email.
