This needs to be reported to the Prime Minister Modi.  

I will do my best with my influence with this administration to report it. The person at the reception ( male) came out open the door toned with an intent to get bribery! Was very rude when I turned down the request for bribery. I have asked his name and he will not tell his name nor he wore an employee ID either!  Sounds like I was there to get some free stuff. As we Indians, we need to protest  against this unethical way of conducting business. Few of my friends had the same experience here at Atlanta Indian Consulate. Most of the review here toned the same. Does the counselor see these reviews ?  It is bad for us Indians. 

I meant ZERO star. This place do not deserve any good remark.

I have very good experience in contacting  thru telephone.  I called between 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Indian embassy Washington DC , consulate general  in Atlanta and in Houston .  It always goes to automated answering machine  to designated telephone.  It says ‘person is not available to take your call , then goes mail box’ . Now you can see that mail box is full  and cannot take you call . 
 Even   telephone operator or receptionist not available to assist  any one thru telephone.  At least Houston answering system says   you can leave your enquirers to answering machine with e- mail id or telephone number they will reply to you .  
My point is if Govt of India not able provide service 24x7 , then atleast they should provide service during office working hours to answer a telephone call.

Hate to call again but there is no other choice  other than  this or I have to spend $3000 minimum to travel to India to submit a paper.  this  is may be one of such cases faced by an Indian living in USA

Blantantly unprofessional and rude!! The female that answers the phone has a bad attitude and is extremely unpleasant, which is unfortunate considering the fact she works in customer service. I asked for her specific information she gave me a number to call, while I was asking another question she disconnected the call while I was in the middle of my question. I called back and a male answered the phone "what do you want". I explained to him thats not good customer service and thats not how you answer the phone and its certainly not how you respond to someone calling for information. He began to yell loud and aggressively and disconnected the call. I called back, he answered again, I requested he transfer me to someone else that can help me as I do not like to speak to people that are aggressive and angry, he said "good luck" and disconnected the call. At this point it was obvious to me that I wasn't going to get any help from them so I didn't call back. Very disappointing!

My passport has been in the embassy for over 10 weeks now and all they tell me is that they're waiting for a reply from RPO Guwahati for a clear police verification. Why would they want a 10 year old police verification report is beyond my understanding. When I asked them this morning to email or contact RPO again, they didn't answer my question and instead told me that they will process my passport once they get the police verification report. This is insane.
Now when I need my passport for drivers license application, CKGS is not willing to refund me if I temporarily withdraw my application. BIG MESS!!

Very considerate. I had a situation... reached a little late. They recognized the situation and helped me. Saved me coming another day... 4 hours drive to and fro. Proud of my origin!
