We at Conte's Bike Shop® take pride in the brands we choose to showcase and offer to you. Not only is the bike you ride a reflection of who you are, but a testament to ourselves and our services here at Conte's Bike Shop® as well. We are proud to offer you both bicycles and accessories from prominent brands such as Giant & Liv, Cannondale, Electra, Santa Cruz, Specialized, Kazam and Phat Cycles. We are proud to offer Virginia's best bicycle workshop, professional mechanics, state of the art workshop facilities, and environmentally friendly waste removal, so you can be assured that your bike will receive the very best service. In addition, we are happy to provide free on the spot trade-in quotes, and offer a selection of professional Bicycle Fits, to ensure that you are exactly where you need to be on your new bike.

Established in 1957.

Conte's Bike Shop® is Family Owned, and has been since it's first day of business, when Charles Conte Sr. opened in 1957 in Newport News. We strive to maintain the family owned atmosphere in everything we do, in order to preserve where we have been, and what we stand for today. David Conte continues his father's legacy, and by the end of 2015, will be the proud owner of 7 Conte's Bike Shops®.

Highly recommended for any bicycle repair. This crew is always quick and convenient and very friendly. I had a flat tire on my trike and they had me in and out with in 10 min. Even stoped working on another project to take care of my flat tire !!

Love these guys. The entire staff is fun and just good people. My kids race and I'm picky about who works on their bikes before they race. Never had an issue abd trust the mechanic Mark.

I appreciate how they take interest in the kids racing and treat them like champs regardless of the week they've had.

It's nice to have a local shop that can speak to the recreational rider or guy looking for high peformance.

Walked in. Front desk immediately directed us to the back repair area. Tim greeted us immediately with a friendly face. Few questions to pinpoint issue, 10 min from diagnose to repair to checkout. Even checked a few other things and made a few free adjustments. Amazing. Totally coming back. Thank you Conte's!

Prices were about average, selection too. The workers were not the friendliest or most helpful. I'm not buying a couple thousand dollar bike so apparently not a ranking customer...though the only one in the shop at the time and I struggled to keep their attention. Got much better service at East Coast Bicycles or BikeBeat literally down the road.

I left the store with an iffy feeling on if I had been taken advantage of because it was my first road bike and I just dipped my foot in the water of biking. 
I had purchased a gently used road bike, and I took it to the bike shop to have it serviced, I knew it needed the tires looked at and just some basic cleanup and was given an estimate of 90.00. A week later I was called by the service manager and was told that they were working on my bike and it needed the higher priced maintenance which involved cleaning and re greasing all the parts, costing 220.00. I was shocked and agreed to the extra service, and then I was told that I could pick it up later that day. I’m iffy about how quickly they were able to do the “extra” service that gave me 130.00 price tag, if it was really legit or if they saw they could gauge me because I was a noob.
Finally, upon picking up my bike, I noticed the seat was raised super high (no biggy) and I asked if they could help show me how to adjust it down. Nope, they told me that too was an extra charge and that it would be 75.00 (I was asking for help putting the seat down, not an in-depth sizing/fitting). 
Now that I have gone to a few other places to see their pricing I realized how overpriced they were. Not cool.
