Dr. Mathis is from Baytown, Texas, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ross S. Sterling High School. Prior to moving to the Dallas area in 1984, he earned a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans and a M.S. degree in Bioengineering from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. Dr. Mathis graduated in 1988 from Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, and moved to Coppell in 1989. Dr. Mathis' wife, Lynda, from Richardson, Texas, is a clinical psychologist practicing in Flower Mound. They have two daughters. Madeleine is an aspiring artist, musician, author, and film maker currently attending CalArts. Her films "Le Loup" and "Coonpipes" have won several awards. Chloe is a high school student who also loves art, photography, singing, texting and playing the trumpet and piano. Dr. Mathis celebrates 24 years practicing dentistry in the Coppell area this March.
