Cornell Farm Cafe

About

Whether it's gorgeous spring bulbs, lush summer flowers, fiery autumn leaves, or tough winter blooms, we provide you with the best flora each season has to offer.

Story

On Mother's Day 1987, founders Deby and husband Ed, opened a retail stand (The Patio) selling geraniums, fuchsia hanging baskets and large buckets of ripe cherry tomatoes grown in the first greenhouse. The business developed broader each year, adding more and more annual and perennial varieties, then containers and gardening supplies, and eventually houseplants, gifts, arbors, outdoor art, statuary and outdoor furniture.

From one greenhouse, Cornell Farm has grown to 13 and staff to 20 or more. Today, Cornell Farm specializes in growing 1000 varieties of annuals and perennials, gourmet hanging baskets and container gardens. In addition to a proven selection of trees and shrubs, the newest varieties are also featured including the low maintenance landscaping roses and topiaries. Custom potting and consultation services and delivery are available, and a variety of classes are held sporadically during the year.

This place is so nice! It's in a house with hard wood floors, a front porch, and back deck, and has nice views out the back, weather permitting. Food is great! Only serves breakfast and lunch and some baked goods. You can also wander around Cornell Farms itself, which is nice to walk around even if you're not getting anything.

Love this place. Cute house. Great coffee (Sleepy Monk) and really good treats and food. It can get crowded and it's full of locals so you're likely to run into folks you know

This old house turned cafe offers food and drink you might find in a usual cafe, but is hand crafted and served in a warm inviting environment. Beer is served in bottles for an evening choice and hot chocolate for the kids after visiting the nursery on a cold day. This is a perfect place for meeting someone on the west side, or it could be your new favorite hangout if you live in the area.

Really good food but I had to knock off a star for the prices. Lunch for 1 = $22! Had the chicken salad sandwich was a little on the bland side but the croissant was nice and flakey. Chicken and veggie soup was excellent. Will go back to try breakfast and the nursery alone is worth the trip. And make sure to check out the chickens!! They are super cool. Update- went back today and ordered the breakfast for lunch and it was excellent. Super fresh eggs and fruit, a biscuit that was kinda dry but the marionberry jam made up for it and the potatoes were yummy.
