Got the "famous eggplant sandwich" & was left trying to figure out why its so famous. We asked for the bread to be toasted and the owner said we can do that but it will take some time, which was fine with us. We drove to a local park to eat and only then realized we got the super market brand bread, which was NOT toasted. This is not the same Italian bread this place used to serve. With that said, my stomach also hurt after eating it. Hopefully something changes.

This is the best deli in all of New Jersey, maybe even in the world! Freshest ingredients. The people who work there are so helpful and extremely nice. My family loves getting food there, the eggplant parm is to die for! I highly recommend this place to everyone! I have never had a bad experience in my life. The family who owns it are some of the best people on earth and truly care about their customers!

Staff was very nice to us and personable. Prices are great. 

However, when placing our order, we specifically asked for our bred to be toasted, which was not, the sandwich was extremely wet and droopy. The wet consistency would have been helped if the bread they used was the one they are "known for" hard shell, fresh italian, but instead they clearly substituted it, without telling us, with the cheap shoprite type. Not to mention after about an hour of consumption, 3 out of the 4 friends complained about upset stomach (including the friend that recommended this place). Maybe, just maybe they were good sometime ago, but this clearly not the case from our visit.  Will not return.

The greatest deli ever!!!! Had the eggplant parm today which they’re famous for..it’s the best around!! The sandwich was delicious, I saw some other people mentioning issues with the bread..not sure why they said that, it was perfect! I come here with my family frequently and have never eaten anything I didn’t love.

My family has always come here. I personally went inside for the first time. There were 4 loaves of bread left just now, and I ordered 4 sandwiches. The owner refused to serve me because he said he needs that bread to keep up his reputation. Well, he just lost his reputation. 1 - completely disrespectful, 2 - you’re a sandwich shop. Order enough bread. Lost our business
