Starting with the pros... Beautiful atmosphere and very comfortable. Friendly and accommodating to fixing mistakes made. The Seafood Chowder was the BEST!! Cons... I ordered soup & salad for lunch and had asked if my salad could be brought first. It came first, but she literally went directly back to the kitchen & brought the soup right back out. So it sat there and got cold. The salad was supposed to have apples in it, but they forgot to put them on, so I had to ask them to fix that, which they did. When I let her know the soup was cold, she fixed that, too, and brought me a new hot bowl (it was FANTASTIC!). Though she was nice (which is appreciated!), the service attention was lacking... I had to go find someone to find her at one point because she just wasn't around. All things considered, it was ok. We ate, we paid, we left.

We were greeted by an awkward student who seated us next to the only other couple in the restaurant. The setting sun was directly in my husband's eyes, but when we asked to move, he told us it would set soon (not true). Five minutes later, he seated a third couple at the table where we had asked to be moved. To add to our lack of comfort, the "music" was discordant and repetitively irritating. The waiter (another student?) was adequate, but not really helpful when we ordered, nor attentive during our meal. Our appetizers were OK, and our salads were good. I'm a vegetarian, and had to order 3 side vegetables for dinner - the spinach turned out not to be a choice because it had bacon in it that evidently was essential. Sadly, my makeshift vegetarian choice (this is 2017) was served in three dishes like I was a pet, rather than on one plate. My husband's medium filet came out well-done, but he said it tasted good. Michael's Tasting Room, where we ate the night before, was the better choice in terms of food, ambiance, and service. We decided to return there for dessert. After asking for our check, we finally had to ask the host to take it up twenty minutes later. Like many hotel restaurants that do not have to try as hard, Costa Brava was not the experience we were hoping to have.

Service at the lounge was terrible. We had a 40 mins wait to be served, and we had to leave after waitress who was very rude, told us we HAD to wait to be served because she was very busy. She wouldn't even take our drink order. We left the restaurant very discouraged after seeing that she took the order for a table that sat after we did. Service was on December 29th around 3 pm.

My fiancee and I decided two days before the end of the year that we wanted to get married on New Years Eve. It was an insane 48 hours of calling family, booking a chapel, finding a dress and all that goes with a wedding. I called Costa Brava the day before the wedding to see if they could accommodate a party of 20 for lunch. I expected us to be in the main dining area but was fine with that because...it was a 1 day notice. We had an intimate wedding across the street at the Lightner Museum and then walked over for lunch. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! They had us in a private room (with these cool Mediterranean chandeliers) The service was FANTASTIC! The food was DELICIOUS! Everyone ordered off the lunch menu and RAVED about how great their food was! It could not have gone better if I had actually planned it!
