We love the great value and high quality of products at Costco. Traveling around the country, we know where we can buy our favorites. One of our choices is the car batteries (currently featuring Interstate). The best warranty and return policy on those that we have seen anywhere! Great return policy on electronics, as well. That gives us much confidence when shopping for those items.

I really enjoy Costco for the quality of products they carry. They are also getting more and more gluten free items which I really appreciate due having celiac disease. I also appreciate many of their high protein health/fitness items such as protein bars, protein drinks and powders. I do wish they had more variety in some products such as gum, candy bars or like the bags of miniature candy bars much like what Sam's Club would carry. I do not purchase those type of items very often except for around Halloween or Christmas. Overall I will have to say that I do prefer Costco over Sam's due the Quality of their merchandise.

We went to the Sioux Falls location because our sams club membership is expiring and after a quick tour, we decided to switch. The young guy behind the membership counter tried to get us to upgrade to an executive membership. We told him we just wanted a regular one. He then tried to explain the benefits of the exec plan and I told him I was a Costco member in the past and that a regular membership was all we wanted. He tried a third time to sell us on the better plan and for the third time we said we were not interested. As I was filling out the application, he went into his upgrade speech once again, at which time we decided to leave without getting a membership. Our question is, is it more important to sell exec plans than any other plans, and do you regularly discard new customers who do not want to be sold your more expensive option? I had a more pleasant experience buying my last car.

Very nice and friendly and always making sure that they're able to assist you looking for what you need. And also walk you to the department where it's at if you're not sure and if the items too heavy or looks heavy they will place it in the cart for you. They are very courteous and kind and very polite and very well mannered I prefer them over Sam's Club because at Sam's Club they're rude and all they talk about is wanting to go home and not putting away the clothes correctly and just talking about the customers which I think is very very rude. I used to live in California and I'm glad that they close the Sam's Club because Sam's Club let someone open up a credit line under my name and they did not even check for ID so they did identity theft under my name the lady had paid for the credit card every month on time and also that sounds club was very rude Costco is very polite and do to them being so rude all the Sam's Clubs in California or shut down they were not getting enough business because people preferred Costco over Sam's Club. So good job Costco not good job excellent an awesome job I highly recommend people going to Costco versus Sam's Costco is a lot cleaner way more cleaner than Sam's Club

Costco is far better than Sam's Club IMO. Costco's selection is geared towards families where Sam's is geared more to businesses. Costco typically has healthier options available. The prices are pretty similar. One complaint with Costco is the inconsistent selection, if you find something you like there's no guarantee it's going to be there next time. Although this leads to a greater variety.
