This is where my family used to come every summer when I was growing up. I loved it as a kid. Decided to make a reservation and absolutely wasn't disappointed! Granted, not much has changed in over 20 years but the memories came flooding back! My kids, ages 3 and 4, loved it here. Hiking to the river, swimming pool, playground, bike riding, banana slugs everywhere, club house equipped with air hockey, pool table, ping pong table, arcade style games, basketball and card games. Plenty of things for the whole family.

We rented the river cabin for a few days. It has a loft for the kids with a ladder to climb up. Small TV, futon couch, small kitchen table with 2 chairs, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The bathroom has a small shower (perfect if you're under 6' tall... My husband had to slouch) and an RV style toilet (literally). The bedroom has a full size bed and you have to bring your own linens. Decent sized closet and built in dresser. There are fans in the living area and bedroom as well as thermostats so we didn't use the fireplace during our stay.

Moving on to the outside... Nice built in fire pit with a grill attached, porch, large picnic table, plastic chairs and a beautiful view of the river! 

We are definitely going to make another reservation and stay a few extra days next time. Thanks for many more memories!

Small sites... Our 34' trailer barely fit in our site. Most sites on the small side so probably avoid if you have a large rig. But very picturesque setting and friendly staff.

Just stayed there the last two nights.   1. the staff at the campgrounds are great, so friendly and helpful.  loved the campsite, and love the location  easy trail to railroad bridge which if you go right you go to the garden of eden, go left and you go to roaring camp railroads and also henry cowel park.   restrooms are clean, park is quiet and clean. Game room has pool table, ping pong, and some video games to keep kids busy.  Much better than the neighbor Smithwoods!

Location was great! Within walking distance to train, state park walks, and swimming. 20 min drive to the boardwalk. Restrooms were well kept and working showers.  Game room was fun and swimming pool was clean and well kept. Sites are on a fence of a neighborhood but you are still in the redwoods. Great place!
