First let me say, I've never had a bad experience at the many different Country Inn and Suites locations at which I've stayed.  The pool was nice and warm and we had it to ourselves.

Our room was pretty clean, except for a slightly sticky nightstand and a random pillow on the floor behind a chair in the corner.  No big deal (to me) at all.

Our in-room hot tub appeared spotless except for 2 drops of a liquid that appeared to be water.  I expect at least a stray hair or two, but it looked perfect.

This was not my first rodeo with an in-room hot tub, so I filled it above the jets with hot water.  Detroit water is exceptional and crystal clear.  I ran the jets for 20 minutes and it turned medium to dark brown.  I drained it and wiped the brown ring with a white towel and saved it for the manager.  My wife and I were undressed at the end of the day and just wanted to soak.  I didn't notify staff at the time because it had been a long day.  We used the tub several times for 2 days without another problem.

I brought it to the manager Tony's attention very discreetly after checkout, complete with photos.  His response was that their policy is to offer a guest nothing in this situation.

4 stars for a beautiful new facility -2 stars for Management's response to this issue that was reported privately.

Please don't hesitate to stay at another Country Inn and Suites.

If you choose to use any in-room hot tub with jets,   please follow the steps I did before you find yourself in a tub of brown water.

The manager reviewed all 11 photos on a 17 inch monitor and chose to offer me nothing but a recital of their policy to give me nothing a couple of times before I chose to post these photos publicly.  That's how little management cares about public perception of this establishment.

I'm ready to edit this back to the 4 star review it would have been if there had been a more reasonable response.  Posted Sunday May 6th 2018

I arrived here on late Thursday afternoon frustrated and Ms Casey calmed my spirit.  She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and offered any type of assistance that I needed to make my stay comfortable. I am a crew member she offered what type of procedures I would need in order to have USPS pick up my packages and ways to travel to the airport due to no shuttle service provided. Ms Lina was efficient in assessing my necessary documents for my shipment and very courteous.  Mr Robert, my muscles.  He assisted with my packages and helped with my 5 heavy luggage.  He's  exceptionally knowledgeable of the services available to the guests.  He spoke softly, but his actions to accommodate me was impressive.  This is my 1st stay.  They made my stay warm and very welcoming.  I look forward to returning to Country Inn Suites again.  Thank you all soooo much!!!  May God continue to bless you with prosperity and good health for you and yours.

The hotel is fine. Cleanliness could be better in the rooms. Breakfast included in room rates. Its a buffet style and is typical. Workout room and pool inside building. One elevator, can be slow at times. Free cookies at front desk on weekdays. There are 2 computers free of use and printing service. Parking on site free of charge.

Such a crappy hotel. It’s a painted pig. The house keeping sucks and they rummage through your stuff. They leave your door open all day. The walls are dirty and thin. They left food from the last person in the refrigerator. The floors are dirty. There was gum on the headboard. I would not stay here if I had a choice.

This place sucks. They stole my money. They stole $200 out of my wallet in my locked room. They went threw my makeup. They touched everything and THEY STOLE MY MONEY. There TVs are tiny. WiFi sucks. Don’t come here on your free will
