I come to GA 7 court quite often to help my clients get out of lockup. The marshalls are very polite and the clerks are usually very helpful. I do think it's time for them to redo the bathrooms and perhaps fine room for a couple more places for people to sit while waiting for the door to the courtroom to open. Overall though, a decent courthouse.
One of the smaller courts in CT so wait times are not as long. If you have a family or civil matter JD Clerks office is very helpful, informative and friendly. New staff and fresh faces make your experience a lot less painful.
Actually, most of the staff are pretty friendly. However, there's one woman named Daisy who is the classic bitter government Karen, who will go out of her way to make your life miserable. She's in some position of marginal power, so beware if you have any questions or want some clarification... you'll be directed to her.
the marshals are kind of full of it, like the bald dude, hes a real head case. and also the spanish / black lady judge is really mean and i think she takes after judge judy, in my opinion this is one of the most negative feeling courthouses in connecticut and to be honest most people are just here for traffic related things. the legal system doesnt inspire a lot of trust or brotherly feelings towards the state government and makes people feel really bad. really unfortunate that in the 21st century we still allow our kids and family to be punished and harmed by other older people.
Fast, no wasting time, just pay your fee or whatever you have to do it, parking time is only one hour free.
Don't expect judges to verify or give you restraining orders my ex calls me all the time and they don't do anything about it
They're organized and have a procedure for all the kinds of issues that need to be dealt with legally.
Worst customer service ever. Wouldnt even let me out of the handcuffs.
Administration duties handled by marshals, kind of weird
Not flexible like other courts in same problem.
