Had the compressed melon and beef short rib. So many dimensions of flavor. The food was amazing. I will definitely be back here. Was a bit noisy, I would have liked a more quiet and intimate setting.

Great dinner.  The summer salad was fantastic.  The coconut sorbet with tapioca and cucumber ice was incredibly rich.  A bit loud.  Great service.

Dinner and a few delicious craft cocktails (we sampled every one :) and this immediately became my favorite restaurant in Raleigh. Founder and Chef Scott Crawford is a magician backed by a delightful staff.

The food is terrific and the ambience is chill! The experience is marred by servers who rush you, give pretentious descriptions of the food  (they label themselves as casual), and the music is far too loud. Still worth a visit if you focus on the food.

Crawford and Son 
Solid four stars. Service is professional, polite and cares. Food is delicious. Some had told me superior and I agree. My party had fish, lamb, octopus, and salads and their special bread which we paid extra for... all happy.  
Sad that the room is so loud and the tables are close together. One member of our party had to leave early and the rest of us were  tired of talking loud enough to be heard a foot away.  Menu is limited but the quality is good.  Would try again via take out.
